I have had my belongings stored here for several years after the pandemic. I have never had any issues. The front desk worker even helped me once when I dropped a glass shelf and didn’t have anything to clean up with. I appreciate the peace of mind that my items are always secure.
The Northlake location is really great. TR facility is super clean, secure and the staff is very helpful in getting you started with your unit.

The facility is secure, which is very much appreciated.
Phil has been awesome to work with. We had a unit upstairs on the 3rd floor and he was able to help find one on the first floor even when storage units were becoming hard to find. Phil also help when switching my payment options and caught a mistake I made when doing auto pay. If you ever need to have exceptional customer service ask for Phil.

A was very happy with the location, my units, and the employees of this location.
From a corporate standpoint, use caution. They “require” insurance and will automatically enroll you into a minimal policy ($15 monthly/$5k coverage).
This coverage excludes most valuables and “atmospheric” related damages.
A quick check with my homeowners policy taught me that my policy covers these storage units as an extension of my home, with no addendums or riders needed.
**Update after 1 year**
PS raises your monthly rate every 5 months. Just after a year of being here my monthly rate has more than doubled.
PS makes you go online (NOT the app), cancel the coverage and certify that your possessions are otherwise covered.
Clearly a revenue stream borderline scam given the limitations in coverage their policy specifies and the fact that they automatically enroll renters in this effective day 31 of renting.
This place is really secure which is great until it’s not. You have to enter a code to every single door, the elevator EVERY SINGLE TIME (which you only get 15 seconds from when you put the code in till the button up inactivates). No carts after business hours which sucks because they close at 6 so best of luck carrying your stuff up if you work a normal office job. Staff is nice but if we had known about the code and carts we wouldn’t have rented from here.
People are rarely in office and the prices just suddenly jump up at random times
Units upstairs has no lights un units. When I decided to upgrade to a larger unit with lights. I was quoted one price. Then when I was filling the transfer paperwork. " The computer crashed" they said I had only one day to move or I'd be charged for both units. So we worked and make that happen. Today when I went back it. The price had gone up over 50.00 more than quoted a month for the new unit. Spoke to Division manager. He was to call me back but apparently got to busy to do so. I'm now looking for a cheaper unit and will have to move yet again. VERY VERY dissatisfied with the employee's and corporate office. Just another money hungry corporation trying to take advantage of us working class. Sad
They literally will give you a better deal as a new customer than if you've been a loyal customer for years! I suggest finding one of our local family owned self storage places if you want to be valued as a customer.

Seems like every time I come to the storage there's no one in the front office and there's no way to obtain roll carts. My storage unit is on the second floor and the least they can do is have roll carts available for us. They seem to not have a problem taking our automatic payments each month.
This location started with a great promo, then they raised the rates higher than what is listed online.. I called and they were able to fix this.... for 3 months, now I'm being told the only way to resolve is move to a smaller unit or pay.. I'll be finding a different company to do business with, I've been a renter for nearly a year and this is how they treat regular no trouble customers.. It's sad that I'm being charged more than the online "regular rate" Choose wisely or use them for short term storage unless you enjoy semi-annual rate increases.
I would NOT recommend this place. There has been multiple times when no one is working during open business hours. Moving carts are only available if someone is in the office because they lock them up.
Additionally, rent quickly increased. In less than a year we have had 2 price increases. The most frustrating thing by far is the fact that no employees are there during business hours. We drive 40 minutes to get here, we expect the office to be open when they say it’s going to be open.
Another gentleman was there and said “yeah we got so used to no one being here during business hours and no carts ever being available so we had to buy our own”. That is ridiculous!

Mr. Douglass is always such a big help when I’m here. Always very friendly and willing to explain anything. Always going above and beyond! Today he even helped me move my stuff down stairs from my storage! Without any hesitation, he just picked up stuff and helped me out!

Chose this location after researching multiple brands and locations. Also picked a much less than desirable, second floor unit to get a slightly better rate in a larger space. On move in day, one elevator was “out of service,” so we ended up paying the movers twice as much. Shared the elevator with every other person moving in. Expected a minimal increase after a year… instead, just received a notice that our rent will be increasing by 40% (after 4 mos.)…Reached out to PS. Received a giant, “…well this is what the market will bear”. Be wary. Feels a bit like a bait and switch. Your $100/month fee can quickly turn into $140 and beyond.
Do not use! Gates don't work. If they see you move out your stuff, they go ahead and vacate your unit. So I paid for a whole month for them to vacate my unit after 8 days. I see why they are cheapest.

I’m not much of a storage unit guy, but this place is awesome. Great security, wonderful climate, control, and easy access to our unit. Can’t beat the price we always have a moving cart available for when we need it. Perfect place to store stuff!

I swung by on a Sunday afternoon and met Janet. Not only did she help me decide which unit would work best for my needs, but she dedicated a fair amount of time to also answer all my questions and concerns. I also met a few locals that were changing units for their needs and she was equally helpful. The climate controlled units, security, staff and such at this location is definitely a breath of fresh air. Highly recommend it to anyone!

I cant say enough great things about my experience with Public storage. They're professional & polite. The whole building is immaculate. The security is top notch. They're also the most reasonably priced for their climate controlled storage units that I've found anywhere in the DFW area.

Absolutely worst customer service. Long & short of it... we rented 2 units and ended up with 2 separate accounts.... Only realized this when we had a credit card compromised and went on the app to updated the payment method. Well, it seems that the app is only linked to one account, so the other unit went past due.
When "assistant manager on duty" calls to notify of non-payment, informs me that no transactions can be done over the phone. Must go do everything in person. So, I make the 30 minute trip over on a Friday at 11:00 AM, only to find the office locked and dark. No note. No explanation. Just closed.
"Assistant Manager on duty" call again asking for payment. I request her to merge both of our units into 1 account and offer a payment over the phone. She re-informs me she does not have the ability to take any action over the phone - must be done in person.
So after I demand to speak to someone who could help, I get a call from Phil, who proceeds to tell me the same thing. As well as informs me that it is impossible to merge two units into one account. In my business nothing is "impossible", especially when trying to achieve customer satisfaction. Disappointed to see customer service non-existent in a publicly traded company

Been at this location since March. Phil said they did an audit and took it upon themselves to remove the promotion from my account because of their competition he stated. What does that have to do with my account?? I have no idea. I will most certainly be removing my items from this place once my lease is up. How dare they? Then he was very nonchalant about it. Nothing to try and correct the problem. Nothing like his first impression I guess once they get your money you just become another number. The exit gate NEVER works here nor the app is never able to open the entry gate. I highly recommend CUBESMART or EXTRA SPACE STORAGE. Or maybe just another public storage other than this location because I’ve never heard of such then after an email and leaving a message he was never going to even acknowledge my call until I called again. This is unacceptable !!!!!

The facility is very nice with clean units, carts for your use, elevators, an indoor loading/unloading area that you can pull a 26’ truck into, and great customer service.
Love this location! Phil is awesome and has been incredible. Every time I've come to public storage I have been met with excellent customer service and of course a smile. Whatever need I have, he is quick assit/solve it! If it is possible to make a move less painful; this awesome employee has accomplished it!

Amazing service and nice storage building! Mr. Phil is so helpful! I had to switch units twice in one day due to sizing issues. I felt bad and kept apologizing, but Mr. Phil was very kind about it. He said he didn't mind and he would rather I switch to a unit I wanted and be happy and keep my business, then move out. They also have insurance you can purchase.
