It's excellent at keeping your stuff safe. Staff and management are always friendly and helpful when needed. Loses stars for: There are no available rubbish bins/dumpsters on-site. The one pair of restrooms are frequently locked. Courtesy carts have gone from 3 down to 2. Edit: my earlier criticisms were quickly addressed, changing review from 3 ⭐️ to 5⭐️!

I googled this Public Storage location because it was convenient to my home. Renting a storage space was easy because I made a reservation to see the facility and rent a space. I also encouraged my daughter to get a storage unit which she did online. The day we were to move into the unit we were told the elevator wasn't working. After moving several items via the stairs we came down and were told they had a work around and we were able to use the elevator then. Okay, I get that stuff happens but the staff seemed cavalier about the whole thing. The second visit was a disaster. We arrived at the time stated on their website for their office hours but no one was there. Over the next two hour we left eight messages because my daughter wasn't able to access her unit. We had movers coming at a specific time to unload our truck and were getting anxious. No one showed up or returned our phone messages. If your looking to speak to a human being it is impossible to do so. Then I went to my unit, and found water in it and several others. An AC Unit had overflowed the previous day and a small buck placed under the leak but was too small to catch all the water. By this time I had had it and we went next door to U-Haul storage and got great service. When I returned to PS the lobby that afternoon the manager was there and I made my complaint. They apologized several times and explained they had been at a managers meeting. You would think that knowing they would be out they would have had one person on location at the stated opening time to handle problems. The manager agreed to refund the cost of the lock (which you can only use at a PS facility) for my daughter's unit only because it was never occupied. They also cancel the next months service but could or would not refund her rental. I would not recommend using PS at this or any other location.

I'm leaving as soon as I can find the time and arrange. I've been a customer for over 20 years. They constantly raise or try to raise my rent, with nothing to show for it. They are currently trying to charge me $100.00 more than the local competition and $85.00 more than their published price for new customers. The local counter person was not any help and refereed me to customer care number.. who was also not any help referred me to supervisor who is flat out ignoring me. If you plan on being a new customer it sounds like an ok deal (cheaper elsewhere).. but once you are long time customer they don't care about you anymore. I made this post after several phone calls and somehow my rent was dropped about $50.00 which is still higher than the published rate and other local storage places. ***AFTER THIS POST***: They were able to adjust my rent down to the local competition. and I had to open a new account and go through some theatre. And they actually asked me to take down this review. No.. I still lost probably $1000.00 in over charges with me blindly accepting all the rent increases. Over the next year they will probably try and raise my rent at least $20.00 ***Update April 2023*** Now they are trying to raise my rent $100.00 over the published rent... seriously!! They say rent increase due to current security and maintain ace of my unit..which is the exact same as what they are publishing. **********June 2015************************ After several phone calls and in person visits I received a call from a district or regional manager telling me that the published rate is for new customers only and basically designed as a hook to attract new business. He promised to call me back later that day after reviewing my situation. A few days later someone else called me back with "good news" they are able to lower my rent to only $42.00 above the published rate. No help to resolve the fact that they overcharged me for several months because I used autopay. But I was informed to expect rent increases again.

Could not have had better service than from Mary and her associate in helping me find a location and the right unit. The service was top notch and highly recommend this storage place. Most of all I’m glad I got the climate controlled unit.

I went to this location to meet a person selling their stored washer and dryer here. As I was waiting, I noticed the facility is clean , (well thought out before it was built ) very easy to get in and out with a moving truck or with a trailer and nice and secure. Oh yeah and very big. 2 thumbs up to the Architect and design team. If I needed to put my stuff in storage.. I would sleep well knowing my unit is safe at this location.

It’s been a challenging year with health and finances and it’s amazing to be able to have a business service that shows they will try to work with you and keep business flowing. I was due for an auction today and miraculously I was able to pay everything but a small portion, until God showed up. As I called to inform Mary the balance was paid in full, at the same time, she placed a request to waive late fee to the GM and it was approved immediately. Mary says, “ You know, it is because you have a positive attitude.” I smiled. I am glad I have my unit here on Dominion. Worst storage experience I have ever dealt with. The employees are incompetent. They only want their money and then are absolutely NO HELP. The “on site” property manager doesn’t answer I doubt they even are on property. You are better off at any other storage, don’t come here if you want any type of assistance or help.

Outstanding PS location! It's right off 10, and there's a huge U-Haul center across the street. Customer service is excellent. I made an online reservation and turned up an hour later. Everything was ready to go, no hassles or headaches. Very smooth move-in process. Mary went above and beyond, and did a terrific job explaining things. Plus the facility's very modern/clean with a spacious layout (plenty of room for a large truck or trailer). Thank you!

This was really a great short term option. I currently store my stuff there but that will change due to price increases every 3 months. I'm now paying more than 2x the initial agreement.

This is my husband and I first time looking for a storage. I felt stressed for weeks from the cost to leave my belongings at a place that I would not have full access to for 24/7. But I left with great satisfaction and feel relief. Eternity helped us and was beyond amazing. She was able to answer all of our questions, inform us with every detail of the process before and after & she made us feel safe that we are able to trust to leave our things at the storage. She wasn’t pressuring us one bit, she showed that she genuinely care about us and our property. Now a days you do not see that type of customer service any more. Once again Mary has done it again, one of the door handles and fallen of and two ladies from Hope LLC we’re trying to store some merchandise for the homeless, she put in a work order to be repaired and the had not arrived, meanwhile these ladies needed to store the merchandise from donations, Mary didn’t hesitate, she told the ladies don’t and disappeared when she returned she had a hammer in her hand and said it is fixed.The ladies we’re truly amazed. I want to let everyone know about Mary. I have used this storage facility since I relocated to Houston and have nothing but great things to say about this place off 150 Dominion Dr, Katy, TX 77450 all because of Mary, when I first started using the storage facility and went to clean somethings out and forgot the picture my 17 year old son bought me with his first check, I believe it was gone, hurt my heart but thanks to Mary she recovered it for me. When it was time for my exit to move things out, I didn't pay attention that they lock the door at a certain time and realized that the lock was still on my key and couldn't go back in to recover the last box which was important, the workers did a clean out because no lock was present, the box of items was put in the dumpster, Mary went outside to the dumpster and recovered my items, I appreciate her dedication and the compassion she shows towards her tenants, we need more like her on this planet.

We recently moved to Texas from out of state storing our belongings for two months at Public Storage on 150 Dominion, Katy. Upon closing our storage unit we encountered an issue that needed resolution. Thankfully Mary was in the office. Mary was very cordial, listened intently and with a cheerful attitude assured me she would do the best she could to help me. Sure enough she resolved the issue. I went to hand her a tip which she refused and said the smile on my face was the best tip I could give. Public Storage I commend your employee Mary! By the way, even if Mary hadn't been able to resolve my issue, she was a pleasure to meet! Thank you, Jean

Just moved my storage here and I love it! Very secure, elevators work and there’s always extra dollys in the lobby. Mrs. Mary is the best! Make sure you speak with her to ensure you get the best tour/units at the best price.

Needed to use the bathroom and it wasn't 5:00 pm yet and the bathroom doors were already locked. Not right!

Fair prices and good service. Monthly rental rates are adjustable at managements discretion which puts the renter at risk. The contract states they 'may' give you 30 days notice of a price change. In other words they're not obligated to and I'm told this often happens so don't be surprised if you're charged as much as 50% more than the prior month.

I just moved out of my unit. For the 2 years my items were stored, I felt at ease. I've never had any issues. The staff was nice and friendly. Only complaint is that they were always short on carts. I know that is more customers fault for hoarding them but I wish there was a way they could put a tracker on them and collect back. Or hold some sort of collateral until they return the cart.

OMG. My move was about to turn into a nightmare. I reserved 2 units at another location and when I went there to secure them I was told they gave them away. WTH. I was told I can go to a sister location and they will set a reservation for me. When I arrived at the sister location it was the wrong size on the wrong floor. WTH....I was about to leave and sitting in my car trying to call the first location and complain when a young man came out and stated he called his manager and she will come in to help me. A lady named MARY Dami arrived and solved the problem....she was able to secure 2 units on the first floor to fit my needs...she helped me set up the mobile app and would follow up to make sure I was set and had no other questions. Even after weeks passed and I had other questions she was always willing to help . Thank you Mary for your help. Public Storage is lucky to have you as I was the day I walked into to your location.

I ended my contract this month with this Public Storage because I didn’t need the space any more but I have to say that it was an excellent year. I definitely recommend this location. They are totally focused on customer service. The facilities are very clean (always) and the staff is really friendly. If I’m ever in the need of storage space again, I will definitely use this facility!!!! Thank you very much -——-———– I just signed my contract and started using my unit yesterday, but since I made my reservation last week I’ve been treated excellent. Rochelle, the manager, is a super nice person and she knows the meaning of “Customer Service”. This is a great property. Very clean and in a great area. I booked online, and Mary called to reconfirm my appointment time and was very friendly. When I arrived Mary was so very knowledgeable with her information. She got me a great location by the door because she said she didn’t want me walking alone in the back. Dami and Mary helped me get all registered and showed me around. They offer a great price and great location. The whole process was so easy and fast. They also have very competitive pricing. I had my storage unit for about 1.5 years. I visited it frequently and always had a great experience! Mary and Najah in the office are very professional and anticipate my needs. I see them on property, always wearing a mask, and taking care of business as needed! They are a breath of fresh air and represent the property well. I was always able to get a cart when needed, at the worst I had to wait about 5 minutes. The staff would really benefit from a golf cart to take prospective clients around and to do their business during the summer! Seriously, it should be considered. Thank you!

Andrika and Ro were great. We came in right before they closed but their customer service was still on point. Pro tip: make sure to bring your own lock or pay 21 dollars for there's but they are definitely awesome to work with. Also be sure to check what you sign because they will add 15 dollars a month for insurance without letting you know. Also, make sure you get there before the office closes or you will not have access to carts to move your stuff. The elevators lock at 9 but you can get out by using the stairs.

1st time storing at this location. Respectful management. Clean facilities. Updated review. I've been at this location now for a little over a year. Specifically the R building has been w/o A/C for 4 plus months. I've made management as well as other employees they're aware of this issue and nothing has been done. I'm working on getting everything out of here. Do not get a unit in the R Bldg. This place is nice but the R building is suffering.

Avoid using this place. Turned my keys in on the last day, unit is empty & clean. But I’m being told I owe for the new month. All I’m being told by employees & call service is to just pay.

They have rat poison in the units, not a good sign. Multiple renters have told me about the damage the received from rodents, and how the insurance that PS offers does not cover the damage. Stay away.. unless you want your belongings to be chewed up from rats.

Went in for a quote, they are only able to give pricing for units available that day but advised that you can reserve a unit online to lock in the price. I was given a tour of the facility and was shown multiple options of available units. Price is also very competitive, one of the cheapest in the area. Would definitely recommend!

Very deceiving company. Beware if you're new customers. They do not tell you upfront costs. They hit you with prorated charges after couple days of signing lease and tell you " Its on the agreement you signed when you first got the unit" Yeah its my fault for being gullible and trusting people too much. I will be taking my things out this unit this weekend and NEVER using them again.
