Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 700 Victor Street, Austin, TX

Have been renting for 2 mos. Came today on Tuesday, 5/30 at 10am and the gate system is out, no employees on site, multiple other customers waiting to gain entry. Nobody answering phone. What’s going on?!

Na’Caria and the General Manager provided me with exceptional customer services! The store was very clean, and made us feel welcomed to Public Storage as family🫶🏾 Would definitely refer others to use this location!!

The staff here is very helpful. The storage units are clean and well maintained. Cynthia got all my questions answered and was very friendly.

Nacaria is very professional and nice. She answered all of my questions in a professional way. She is also pretty nice. For example, she showed me how to enter my storage unit from outside and use the lock patiently. One time, I was unsure whether I locked my door, she was willing to take a look for me, which avoided me from driving back to my storage unit again. What is more, when my phone was out of battery once, she worried about it and provided me a charger.

Tamala made the move-in process quick and smooth. The storage facility is clean and ready for us. Overall great experience.

The guy who was working on 4/2/23 lied to me about giving me a refund for almost $66 dollars for a storage unit I closed out . Never got that amount and was just told today that he didn’t even have the authority in the first place to even offer anything like that.

Since this location opened they have had an automatic gate which is positioned in such a way that it regularly damages parked vehicles when the gate opens. My vehicle has had a hole in its bumper for several months due to this gate. When the incident happened, the representative in the office took my information and told me I was at least the sixth car that has been damaged in this way in only a few months. She said management refuses to fix the gate problem. The employees offered to park her car in the offending parking space to prevent additional customer vehicle damage, but management told her she wasn't allowed to park in the space. After having waited several months, and after being told the damage would be taken care of, I was informed today that Public Storage is refusing to fix my car. I'm likely out a large deductible if I file a personal claim (they have no incentive to work with my insurance company) and therefore I'm stuck with the option of a hole in my car or a hole in my wallet. Safe to assume at least a half dozen other paying customers are in the same boat. So the management here clearly don't give two shakes about their customers. I was going to rent a second unit today, but I'll be cancelling that. Do you expect these guys to treat you with respect when they knowingly let customer after customer have their property damaged? I think not. I suggest renting from one of their many competitors, as I'll be recommending others do as well. Corporate is welcome to reach out to me anytime they feel like making this right.

Great experience so far. Booked my move-in online and the property manager, Cynthia was quick to call me to welcome me and provide any additional information. When I arrived, she showed me to my unit and informed me of everything I would need to know. She also called me the next day to make sure everything went smoothly with my move-in. She is super kind and knowledgeable and made me very comfortable with my choice of facility.

Reason why I moved out was because it didn’t seem climate controlled for the price I was paying. Every time I went to storage it was warm on a warm day outside. ONLY positive is the staff. Always friendly!! Willing to help especially Cynthia. She swept out my dirty unit when I asked to use a broom to clean it.

Cynthia is very good to deal with. The reasons I didn’t give 5 stars are because: - They push their “Orange Door” insurance a bit too hard. I had to come back a couple of times so I wouldn’t be charged for it. - You have to buy their lock because the doors they use won’t work with any other locks… convenient for them. - There are no trash cans anywhere. Otherwise, their staff (like Cynthia) is courteous, office hours are pretty good and prices are competitive. Although, they have increased prices SIGNIFICANTLY after signing me up. If they keep doing so I will reduce my star rating to 3.

This is my first storage unit that I have, I called multiple storages And they were pretty expensive and customer service was not all that I called public storage on my last resort And let me just say this, they were awesome they helped me understand the sizes payments and also they gave me an awesome deal for the unit that I wanted. I would definitely recommend coming to the public storage on Victor Street and talk to Susan and she was very understanding on my questions I had. I will definitely recommend people to this storage unit it was very clean and very well organized

well, I guess I’m just that one hater on this one, so as I go on please dont hate only speaking from experience! me & my girl were going get a storage, signed up, cane thru we are greeted by ms. pam, now ms. pam, a very kind and sweet lady, is certainly a feisty one! shes great at what she does trust me, but she pushes for a review ten. fold! CRAZY! I know, its like “ xavion, that is just rude of you! “ sue me, but not really tho, but all I’m saying is shes great, so me & my girl got got in a bind, didnt pay it in like 2 months they already bolted thru the lock an put our stuff up in auction! 😮‍💨 it seemed like we talk but no true cooperation came close on there end! crazy stuff if you ask me thats all I gotta say.. you can definitely find better places for way cheaper, an it seems they dont let up, I also gotta pay for a whole lock.. all in all.. its a place thats held our stuff untill some point I cross paths w another storage unit, they do what they gotta do, *cough* penny pinchin’, nvm I rated it a 3 at first but now its going down to 2! 🗣

Besides being very articulate, she is extremely knowledgeable about the facility, security features and access protocols. Robin is a saint; she has helped us in three different units providing excellent customer service and very knowledgeable! Each time she has ensured to get us exactly what we need especially because my father has a prosthetic leg she has ensured we get units that meet our needs! She is very polite and every unit has been clean, and efficient for our needs! Robin is an awesome employee at my local public storage!

Had a great experience at this place since day 1! I first moved in to a larger unit and had to transition to a smaller one. Robin and the team here made that process so easy and were proactive in making sure everything was correctly set up. I just closed out my account and yet again, the process was straightforward and Robin was very proactive in making sure my account was closed out correctly! They once even called me when my autopay turned off accidently just to let me know & to help me avoid late fees. Really awesome team and location!

This storage location, for me, was absolutely perfect being along the I35 frontage road and the first month move in deals are definitely worth checking out! Associate Robin that was working on duty was incredibly thorough on the unit that was right for me's presentation, intuitive information, and an all out customer service rockstar to the fullest extent. I used this Public Storage for a couple months and it was a great experience. Moving out, I ran into Pam. She was very sweet and helpful during my move out. She inspected my unit quickly and I was on my way! My belongings felt safe in this storage, and it’s clean and not too busy. There is free to use moving dollies that are sturdy and large that made moving a breeze. Back in 2020 this was a very cheap and sizable storage unit. Not sure about current pricing but I’m assuming it’s still a good option. All the places near downtown were 4-5x the price.

I have had a wonderful experience renting a storage space at this location. All the staff members are incredibly helpful especially Robin! I used a temperature controlled unit on the 3rd floor, and luckily they had an elevator and multiple dollys that were always available. I will definitely be using public storage again!

Traveled cross country on what will eventually be looked back on and laughed at as the most chaotic move we have ever experienced. At present time though, it is nothing less than stressful. To show up at 5 minutes until closing and be refused service is downright unacceptable. Even after I explained that it would cost me another $125 to keep the truck another night and climbing the phone tree all the way to the district manager. The only "solution" I was given by the d.m. was that the issue would be addressed. 🤬

Just rented a space to move business equipment from a CubeSmart in south Austin. Unlike our experience at CubeSmart, the process of moving into a space at they Public Storage was excellent and without drama. Leah, the site manager, was extremely helpful in helping us select a storage unit that work best for our company and made the process of the reserving and moving into the space as easy as possible. Knowing that we likely need more frequent access to our space than someone storing household goods, she helped us find a spot close to the entrance on the first floor and with good lighting. The pricing was very competitive and much better than CubeSmart (CubeSmart location was closer to downtown however). The storage facility is relatively new, clean and seems secure. Probably like most, I hate moving, but the interaction at this particular Public Storage made that component a non-issue. Now as for my back and overexertion, well.... lift with your legs. : )
