The location in Beaufort, SC engages in fraudulent advertising. They advertise on local site 1$ for 1st month. Also, on Yelp, when u open their website, it is advertised. When I inquired about it, she stated, " I don't do that." They also stated my unit had only 1 available. Therefore, I reserved and paid. That was false. I cancelled the reservation and was told via live chat that I would receive a refund in 5-7 days back to credit card. The next day, I got a refund for the lock only 21.34. I called again and was told 5-7 days. Today, I called a 3rd time, had a wait of over 16 min, and was told I would receive a check in 6-8 weeks. I canceled when the charge was still pending. Per SC law, refunds must be made to the original form of payment. I have filed a complaint with the State Attorney Generals office and also the FCC due to fraudulent business practices. I am speaking of the Beaufort SC location only. I have no knowledge of any other location, but I must saw, there app is buggy and hard to navigate. They have only 1 star reviews on Yelp because u have to rate them with at least 1 star. No reviewer on that site had anything good to say about this location. I believe they are TRYING to play hard ball because of my reviews and complaints. It speaks volumes as to the integrity of this company. BTW, I found a different unit, 1 mile away, 1$ first month, and for a lesser charge for subsequent months. Public Storage also charged a 29$ administrative fee, yet I did it all myself online. Is this the kind of company you want to do business with? I will let u decide and only offer up my experience.

The staff at the parris island location are the ONLY ones who deserve the 5 stars. They are absolutely wonderful people who you can always count on to put a smile on your face. Corporate deserves no stars!! I'll say it again they will raise your rent every couple of months regardless how many YEARS you have been with them. If your an individual like me who has a full 3 bedroom house hold in one unit, the last thing we want to do is move to another unit. Corporate will do nothing for you but lower the cost for one month. That has nothing to do with the amazing staff. The staff will do whatever they can to keep your business and make things easier for you but the increase every couple of months is all corporate and absolutely ridiculous! To the staff at my location, thank you everything you all have done for me for all these years. You all are the real MVPs. You all are the only reason I stay at this location

If you need longterm storage find something else, cause your bill is gonna keep growing every year! I started at $99. Four years later I'm at $160!!! The girls inside are awesome, and explained that the owners taxes went up. I feel like it was still too much! I did this review for Public Storage in Shell Point.

The facility is nice. They gave us a price that was reasonable for the area. Then increased our rent 3 times one of the increases was almost 30%. I would advise you look elsewhere. They will raise your rent.

The entrance and exit are confusing and weirdly designed. Someone possibly could hurt themselves or others attempting to maneuver around/inside this obstacle course.

I've been using their services since 2013. And they just doubled the prices of their storage buildings from the original pricing of $207 to $416/month. For the same storage room.

Super friendly staff got us in and out easily. Ended up only needing a unit for a few weeks instead of a full month. Got the refund very quickly. I only have a minor complaint but I understand why not. Just wish they had a sensor for leaving instead of having to input your code. The angle of the boxs location means typically it's easier to get out of your car and do it. It's a minor complaint not really an issue but if using a uhaul get out of the truck and do the code.

DISHONEST! I rented a unit for about $100.00 (I was told I had to rent the only available space even though its too large for what I needed) the space only contains some toys and about six small boxes on September 25, 2019. I paid all fees that very day and was told my next payment was due October 24, 2019. Today I received an email dated November 1,2019 letter stating my unit has a lien and I owe $182.00. This is a disgusting way to attempt to cheat and make money, as I haven't even had the space but one month which was paid in advance for the month or I would have never been rented the space!. Beware! I promptly contacted customer service, who verified that this was a not correct and should not be happening currently on hold at this moment with the actual local office 33 minutes on hold and counting...they just hung up on me...calling corporate again now

For most of my 16 months in a climate controlled unit, the much advertised security gate did not operate--open 24/7. Even if it had, it would not have kept out the rodents that infested the place. Some of my stored items had to be thrown out.

When we walked in Lashanda was helping us and she was telling us about another unit that may work that was cheaper. A customer called wanting to speak with Lashanda about her account. Brittany then took us outside. They worked together as a team and got my friend in a cheaper unit. If I ever need storage I will definitely use this place. The staff was so friendly. These girl know what there doing. It's rear to come across such a friendly and welcoming staff.

I was locked out of my storage unit for some reason’ I had my generator gas cans and tires for my trucks in the storage unit, With a hurricane approaching, after posting on here the manager reached out to me and confirm that the storage unit could be accessed, while everyone left town she even said if I had a problem that she would meet me there personally. We are not for sure why the gate would not operate, but she did an awesome job and making sure that everything during the hurricane season that we could access our units. Very awesome awesome awesome Manager. A+ in my Book

Very shady company to conduct business with. When I signed my rental agreement, I was supposed to get charged $156 for a 10x10 climate controlled unit for a year. 3 months after signing my agreement, my rent went up to $174 without any warning or heads up. When I inquired about this situation, all I was given was "The company just raises their pricing". The more upsetting part is, since I vacated the unit on the first of the month, I still have to pay full months rent for a unit I do not have access to because "I was still present for the month"... They wouldn't even agree to a pro-rated rent. Associates aren't helpful, management is a joke. Take your business somewhere else.

Male representative was extremely pushy and rude. Units grossly overpriced compared to other area storage facilities. I explained I was only calling for pricing and did not want to leave my name and would call back if I needed the unit. He told me not to call back.

I leased space here beginning 1-14-14 and so did my parents. In total, we leased 3 units. The property changed ownership while we were tenants and the new company claimed they "lost" our contracts. We were asked to sign new agreements with different terms and the rates kept increasing on a regular basis until it became unaffordable to stay. Every time I visited the storage facility, the gate was broken and standing wide open. Also on many visits, the HVAC units were broken down, leaking water all over the floor and the "climate controlled" units were absolutely not climate controlled. Whenever we inquired about the condition of the property, we were spoken to in a less than professional manner. All was fine...UNLESS you ask a question they do not like. I would never recommend this facility to anyone. The day we vacated this facility was a day of celebration!!

After a home fire, we stored household furnishings here for almost a year. The people that work at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. They deserve an A+! The actual storage facility, however, is somewhat lacking. The security gate was broken and nonfunctional the entire time we did business with this company. Inside the actual storage units, there is definitely a problem with rats! They can be heard scratching in between the walls and rafters, and their droppings were all over the storage unit! They chewed through a gallon jug of water, and also chewed on some furniture.

I went into the store once and she had at least four customers and lashanda greeted each and everyone of us. She made everyone feel welcomed.

The manager Lashanda is a treasure! She is so friendly and professional. The units are spotless and smell fresh. The security is excellent. We moved out of a climate unit from another company that had a really bad rodent problem and the whole climate controlled area smelled musty. This is a great facility.

Lashanda is an excellent manager words cant explain how great of a person this young lady is. Its hard to find someone with a great personality who can handle a difficult customer. I wasnt an easy customer in the beginning but lashanda worked with me. She was never rude or disrespectful. She really took her time with me. Im happy i asked her if the company does reviews because this young lady deserves recognition. 5 stars

Cat was straightforward with everything and even let us know about a bed bug problem in our area so we could get bed covers in the store. Public storage is our favorite storage in the area and I don't think I will use anything else. Their prices are competitive and their storage is clean.

I went into public storage for boxes. I told the manager lashanda i was packing a two bedroom and i needed 10 boxes to start with. She added up 10 boxes and compared it to a quick pack and storage pack to let me know how much money i could save if i bought a pack vs just boxes. I went with the quick pack. Thank you lashanda for all your help
