Was Extra Space Storage but was bought out by Public Storage a few months ago. No warning to current customers of thus chand. I literally didn't want to use this company but am now for ed into it. Now they are changing your due date with hardly any notice. I purposely set my move in for the date so I didn't have all my bills due on the 1st. I just paid on Aug 23 $148. Now on Sept 6 I have a late fee for the month. I just paid you!! When i paid my rent, there was no mention on the site that my due date had changed. Stay away from these thieves!!! 😡

This place was really nice. Found it by accident but I'm glad I did. The people that work here are really friendly and helpful. Adam helped find a good deal on a unit and even made sure I could actually lift the door which was considerate. And Debbie was nice enough to help me purchase some supplies. All around I'm happy I found this place on accident.
I'd also like to add that today, it's known by a different name but same great customer service. A lady named Shirl Rukkila (awesome name) helped me with the new app and policies and I'm happy to leave this review!

They charge you insurance in the price but don't tell you. When you arrive they break the price down then realize hey I really do need the coverage.

Frustrating experience so far at 4317 NW 39th in OKC.
1) Storage was supposed to start on 4/17 and told to come by the office that day to present my ID to finish up paperwork (?). Came in on 4/17 and no one was there. Called the office and the guy said (paraphrased), "Sorry, I'm in Tulsa watching the office here and no one's at the office there... you're SOL. Come back tomorrow." Glad I didn't have my truck loaded up.
2) Finally able to unload stuff after several back and forth trips. During the last trip last night (around 8:30pm), apparently the Extra Space Storage called the cops on us. Was swarmed by 3 cop cars once we closed up the unit after dropping last load off for the night. Cops were super professional and courteous but still alarming that Extra Space Storage would call cops on clients for using their storage during >posted< open hours.
3) Tried to go back tonight around 8pm to drop another full load off and couldn't get in. Access denied. Called customer service and they said that the facility actually closes every day at 7pm. This, while I'm on the phone staring at the gate and office door that clearly says access every day until 10pm. No idea how we got in after hours the night before. When I got home, looked on website and the hours say 7pm. So, clearly someone's not updating signage on physical property.
On the plus side, the customer service folks and onsite management the few times we've spoken were polite and professional. Not sure where the disconnect is happening but someone's not doing their job updating signage, facilitating sign up, etc.
