We just became renters of a storage unit recently. Upon our first visit, we were assisted by Sophia. She was very helpful in explaining the renting process. She also showed us how to navigate the app and led us to our storage unit. She made our first experience very good and assured us she could help with any future issues. Thank you Sophia. She was great. The system somehow erased my account identity (the billing and gate key and phone number worked, but I had no account number nor name associated with the unit thus I could not login)
Sophia got to the bottom of this anomaly and got it resolved so I could login into my account again. She saved my bacon from automated hell. Sophia works at the Woodcutter location.
Its well maintained and clean. Sophia was even cleaning when I drove over to the location and spoke to her about my problem. I have been with this location even before Public Storage had bought them. I'm glad they keep people on site. There are some fixes that require good people that know what they are doing. Kudos to Sophia and the Woodcutter location!
Great facility, automated gate for getting in and out was nice and convenient location. Had a 5 by 15 storage unit for 21 a month and 4 to 5 months later it jumped to 37. Didn’t love how they try to get you in and then jack up your rates thinking you won’t move your stuff out. I get costs are going up but to raise your rates 75% after the first couple months put a bad taste in my mouth. For that reason I would not use them again but if cost isn’t a factor everything else was good.
Edited - Sophia reached out after my move out and was very kind about the situation. She did mention that if I would have gotten ahold of her prior to the move out she would have worked with me on the rate increase. I still don't love the way the price jumped so quickly, but thought it was very professional of her to at least call and have a conversation with someone that she knew was not happy.
Stacey was very polite and knowledgeable about any questions that I had. She also has a great personality and us extremely nice.
Sophie was a big help in getting me a spot that was easy for parking my travel trailer.

Beautiful, secure property hidden in plain site of the surrounding neighborhood in Powell. Gate hours until 10 p.m. 7 days a week, later than its competitors. Six day grace period to pay rent. Although rent is due on the 1st, you have until the 6th before a late fee is assessed on the 7th. No contracts, just month to month. The new Property Manager Sophia is great!!
First of all, Sophia (office manager) is a ROCK STAR! It starts with prices and then customer service for me. Sophia is responsive and accommodating. Tip: Public Storage seems to change their specials weekly so check frequently.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Sophia at the Public Storage on Woodcutter Drive in Powell, Ohio! I urgently needed a storage unit but had trouble renting it online. I called Sophia multiple times for assistance, and she was incredibly patient, guiding me through the process each time. When it still didn't work, she invited me to come to the office, even though it was 5:45 PM and they closed at 6. Despite the late hour, Sophia assured me it was fine to come in. I arrived just at closing time, and she stayed late to ensure everything was sorted out. She was so kind and never made me feel rushed. I’ve had a unit at this location for over 15 years. As with everything, the price kept going up and up. I stopped at the office to see about possibly getting a smaller unit. Sophia was very kind and helpful. We viewed another size but I decided it was too small. We went back to the office and Sophia was able to get me a lower rate on my current unit. No one else had even hinted at this possibility. I have a second smaller unit that I’ll be able to now move into my original unit as I sold half of the stuff. Everything in one place and saving money. I’m very happy with her help.

We had a storage unit for 5 years with Simply Self Storage. When my mother-in-law passed we needed a place to store some of her things. It is a very clean and safe place to store your items. We would definitely use them again if the need arises!

Just recently acquired a 10x30 unit for storage between moves. Had the pleasure of working with Jenny and she was fantastic. She was extremely thorough, answered all questions and also allowed me to tour the facility to see and enter the unit. She very clearly takes what she does very seriously but with a friendly outgoing personality and absolute professionalism. I would highly recommend Simply Self Storage in Powell and make sure you ask for Jenny.

Okay M W… or should I just call you “Karen”?? I was in the office on the day that this DIDN’T happen since yours is a fake review…
This is what actually happened… the Property Manager asked the other guy that came into the office that day if he saw the rubber snake on the door several doors down from his, because the rubber snake keeps disappearing, the Property Manager joked. The Property Manager stated that the rubber snake was to scare the birds away. The guy asked if birds are getting into the units, at which time the Property Manager assured him that Simply Self Storage is working to resolve the issue. The guy hastily asked the Property Manager what should he do if birds are getting into his unit, the Property Manager advised that he would let her know and refer to his Homeowners or Renters Insurance if there were to be any damage to his possessions, since he only just signed up for Simply’s insurance that morning apparently. The guy became hostile at this time, exclaiming “you guys are allowing birds into the units but want us to file a claim against our own insurance“!! The Property Manager clarified that Simply is not “allowing” birds into the units and reinfored that he would refer to his insurance.The guy grew more agitated and aggressive to the point the Property Manager justifiably had to threaten to call the police on him to get him to leave.
And as far as needing an appointment, they do take walk ins, but if the Property Manager is with another customer, or expecting her next appointment, this allows one on one time to do your rental while keeping your information private and giving you a personal experience.
I was really impressed with the level of customer service I received from Jenny. She did a great job of explaining how the process works and answered all of my questions.

Jenny was amazing, this was the first time I've rented storage and she helped me through the process. Also, I thought I'd be fine with a 5x10 and after she asked a few questions, she recommended a bigger unit and she was right! She saved me having to move my stuff later to a bigger unit!

Best storage facility in the area. Clean. Great location. Climate controlled units are few and far between until you get to Lewis Center. Jen was very helpful.
Stored home furnishings in climate controlled space for 2 years, headache free with confidence belongings remained secure. A single issue developed as we prepared to empty out the space, which management quickly and efficiently helped us resolve which left us fully satisfied. Their responsiveness with this single issue was much appreciated.
