Only negative is the front desk door is never opened
The experience I had going into public storage on Wilson was a very pleasant experience. The young lady working the desk name Angie meet me and greeted me with joy and politeness. Helped me move through the process of getting storage and gate codes walked me to my unit so I wouldn’t get lost. Overall is was a great experience.

I rented a storage unit at the Wilson location. I thoroughly enjoyed the customer service I received from Sid and Angie. They were sweet and pleasant and made my moving experience so much better than I expected. Thank you so much. $tagteamwibdeful
We had a rough time moving in because the elevator was not working.
The price increases are absurd. In 11 months' time the price of our storage unit has gone from $95 to $115 to $145. A 52% increase in under a year? This is madness, and as soon as I can stop using them, I will. It doesn't matter how many emails I receive calling me a "valued customer," including the one letting me know that they're raising the price astronomically yet AGAIN, this says otherwise. Stop gouging your existing customers.
I wanted to acknowledge the great customer service by Angie M! Despite me showing up near closing time due to traffic, she was still very patient, helpful, professional, and friendly. All of my questions were answered, and she made me feel comfortable in choosing and locating my storage unit.
Angie couldn't of been more helpful on the hottest day of the year. Give that woman a raise!
Had an amazing experience with Angie! So helpful and patient. Helped me fix a mistake I made on my end with my rental, then proceeded to also help us outside in the rain which was so kind. Very efficient, very kind. I will be using this public storage location again in the future.
On July 6, 2024 I had a very unpleasant experience with the older office management lady. She was mean and rude when asking her about items that I left in the hallway. When I asked her about my items she rudely said “yes I threw it away” then I asked for a cart. With an attitude she said “I’m leaving in 9 minutes” I then asked to get my belongings out of the trash. I asked to view the cameras she said “no we don’t do that” On the way to the trash I said I would file a police report and she said “good luck with that” all in all I had to get in the dumpster to retrieve my items that had been thrown away and some of them were stolen. The older office lady showed no remorse or concern she was just rude the whole entire encounter. That’s not good for people who pay every month for a service and always have an unpleasant worker customers. Needless to say I will be moving my belongs to a different storage company
All facilities are not reliable. Issues such as gate can’t open and elevator breaking down happen all the times. It closes at 9pm but staffs always leave early, and some times they don’t don’t come, leaving everything locked and broken. Worst of all, you can never find the property manager
I have been moving into the facility and up until today I have been having a very pleasant experience. Angie has been going above and beyond with her customer service and making sure my move has been smooth. On the other hand I met the other worker of the office today. She was leaving and as she was leaving I was coming in and I asked excuse me are you leaving? (Meaning for the day)I would like to rent a cart before you do so. Her response was (unpleasant) I’m about to go to lunch I will be back in about 30-35 min or so. I reiterated I just need a cart and I will be sure to lock it back up. Nonchalantly she says I’ll be back in 30-35 min or so. She then proceeded to get in her car and pull off. Now, I too work in customer service and the way she handled the situation was far from professional. Now I have to wait for 30-35 min or so for her to come back to get into my unit. I don’t have help which is no fault of hers but it her tone would have been different I would not be leaving a 2 on my review.
In addition when i returned to the facility to try and unload my truck Ms. Sid’s tone was completely different. She was very pleasant. Also her manager James called me first thing this morning to apologize about the interaction I had with Ms.Sid. I appreciate his speedy response and him taking accountability for the interaction. Thank you again James for your speedy response.
I’m revising my original review after using this public storage facility for a few years. They have continued to hike up their prices over time (from $40 to $67 monthly for a 5’x5’) for increasingly worse quality of service. I have tried twice in the last week to access my storage unit but not only is their elevator down, their front desk (and only current point of access) has been left unattended with doors locked during their regular staffed hours and no one is answering the phone. There is currently zero way to access my storage unit and zero way to reach management - completely unacceptable when the sole purpose of the facility is to allow for self-service. As soon as I can find a way into my unit, I will be moving my items elsewhere.

So, while I think Sid is amazing. I really do. I am very, very annoyed that my storage rent has gone up 2x within a 3 to 6 month period. With no additonal amenities or perks, in fact I have to do more work. I am not sure if management is saving money on people or if there is no one to work, but I literally tried for a few days to go in even with an appt and no one was there. Sometimes I have had to text a number to get let in which is weird because you already have a code. You also have to hope that someone is a wake and monitoring which crates a safety issue if you have to wait to long to het in. You get a number to put in on your lock (I think this is if you are late with payment), but again I don't know how I could not be late. My rent went up for no reason at all from 479.00 to 570.00. I struggled to pay 479.00. It's outrageous, unnecessary and unsubstantiated as to why the same unit I have had which has not increased in size continues to go up. I working really hard to get rid of my stuff so I can move out, buy at the same time some of it is really sentimental and I utilize it for events and school during certain seasons so I would really like to keep it. It's bad enough that people are charged an increase when there are no additional rewards and certain things are not functioning properly, but it's worse for Public storage to take advantage of people and raise the rental amount 2 times within a 3to 6 month period. Shame on you Public storage, shame on you! It makes me sad to have write such a review, but I am just financially devastated already, but now I have to figure out how to pay more for the same unit. I just don't understand.
The manager is AMAZING!!! So I got a storage unit that I didn’t need and I told the manager and she closed out my account without any issues and she was sooo pleasant. Definitely would come back to this location just for her lbvs

Dope fiends living here breaking into the units by climbing over the walls. You can't leave after 9 p.m. you have to call a number to have them open the gate and that's only after they speak at you like your their 10 year old step child!!! HORRIBLE!

Terrible customer service. If you ever need to contact the "property manager" you'd have a better chance hitting the lottery. But they will contact you when they need to with ease. I suggest using any other means of storage.
Have rented a unit here for several years-always clean and under control! Excellent customer service! Got a call from manager suggesting I could save $$ by moving to a different same size unit on the property and taking advantage of low prices available now. Why didn't I think of that as a way to lower my cost?!?! Thank you!
I was slightly disappointed because online stated to me $1 for the first month and I wasn't charged that amount.
Property is roach infested. Unboxing things at home now and roaches are popping out.

I’ve been renting with Ps for years, and Sid has the worst attitude. My belongings were covered in mold and than being apologetic she gets attitudinal and rude. Disgusting.

The location attendant "Sid" Was extremely helpful, kind and patient with my many questions and complicated request.
Just wished I would of looked at the unit before signing up online..then going back online to get the online price for signing up.
Because even though I did not move into the unit or take off security tag and it was the next day of my move-in date. I did not get a refund of my rent amount for cancellation... Despite never moving in or removing security tag the next day after signing up.
Maybe I don't agree with public storage procedure for canceling a unit even if you don't move in and on the next day of move in wish to cancel. I do know that the public storage on Wilson avenue.. if working with Sid I will be treated with respect and kindness.
Don’t rent here-they make it difficult to use carts after hours by locking them up and have high rent rates.

The property manager is rude and doesn’t care about her customers business. I went several times to make a payment and they were closed during opening hours I highly recommend the Vandeventer location.

I would give them a 5 star every time. They were so very accommodating with my disability. They found me a unit on the 1st floor close to the door.

Very clean facilities they were a life saver. Being able to sign up online at the last minute and get a great deal was right in time the process was smooth and very simple. Everyone who works here is very welcoming and helpful. I choose them over Uhaul anyday

This place is fantastic. Sid is super helpful and friendly. I was in a big jam recently was was locked out of my unit. I was told it would be several days but Sid came through and got my lock cut early. She also watches those carts like a hawk and I appreciate it so there's enough to go around.

Just helped my friend move her stuff out of here. She has paid thousands of dollars in rent over many years. What is the point of paying for climate control if everything in storage is covered in mold? You get knocked over by the smell of it the minute you open the facility door. So much of her stuff is ruined. :(
This was absolutely one of the best customer service experiences I have ever received! Sid was so kind and cordial, and walked me through every step of my process renting the space. I called in several times beforehand and Sid talked through various options with me, and scheduled a time for me to come in person to see the unit before actually renting the space. When I arrived, Sid explained everything I needed to know and showed me several spaces, in a very professional and caring manner. Sid made the check out process so smooth and seamless, making my experience extremely easy and non rushed giving me all the details and explaining everything I was signing. The location and space are super clean, quiet, feel safe, and easy to access. Best of all, great customer support! I highly, highly recommend this location. Thank you Sid!!!

Excellent staff and storage place at this facility. I mean the staff is welcoming, patient and competent. I feel Sid and I are old friends. I totally love staff at the site. They should be trainers for other staff.
However the corporate offices are a bunch of greedy people based upon my experience and my rates being raised every year since I went back. I had a rate increase effective in Feb for 341 now it's going up in a month to 446. How can they do this in a time like this where everyone is struggling to make ends meet. There is a big demand for the space. I have been there at least 5 years. I cannot wait to find a better place, that won't raise the rates every year!!! Pretty soon my storage unit is gonna be the cost of rent!!!! UGH!!! CANNOT WAIT TO FIND A BETTER RATE!
It's a storage unit, the elevators broke when we were there which was a big inconvenience on a hot summer day. No one answers the phone if you call.
Sid was very helpful and swift in getting me a storage to move on very short notice. She provided me with everything I needed to relieve the stress I was having from moving. The perfect person to have help you!

Public Storage on Wilson was great for our storage needs. We had a gap between moving out of our old house and moving into the new one. Sid was super helpful and answered all of my questions.
The place was clean and well taken care of, plus when we needed a second smaller unit at the last second, we were able to find something on site that fit our needs. I'd definitely recommend this location.
