This place is pretty cool I've helped several people move in and out of here places always clean and they recently just expanded last fall. Won a storage unit in auction, was told yesterday someone would be there until 1:00 today to take my payment and give me access to the unit and give me gate code and all that, so I was pulling into the parking spot In front of the office at 12:54, and a car was just pulling out of the parking spot right next to where i pulled in. They had to wait for me to drive in and pull into the spot so that they could pull out. I looked right at them as I was pulling into the spot to see if it was my friend who was meeting me there, but I couldn't even see into the car because all the windows were tinted dark. So I park, get my baby out of the car and everything and walk up to the door and it's locked! So I waited for my friend and I called p.s. and left a message. My friend got there and we waited a little bit just because the lights were still on inside, and there was also another vehicle parked there, so we thought maybe that was the employee, and they were in the bathroom or something. But no one ever came back, and eventually the lights turned off! So that's nice I wasted my time and my gas and woke my baby up from her nap to drag along with to get there before 1:00, all for nothing. And my friend's time and gas. And on top of that now I either have to drive all the way back home to Woodbury just to turn right back around and come back to White Bear to get my daughter from school, which I was going to do on my way home after the storage unit, but now I have an hour to kill before she gets out of school, So I can wait around for an hour and do nothing with a baby, Or I can take her out of school an hour early, or drive the 25 minutes half hour back home and then turn back around. It just irks me that he knew I was coming today and he sat there and watched me pull into the parking spot, with 5 minutes to spare, and continued to drive right past me and leave!

Rented a locker. There was too much of an incline for my to push my trailer in by myself. Dayle was there and helped find me a different unit which worked much better and easier for my needs. I've had a unit at this Public Storage for several years & love the location and how well the facility is managed. I had an issue with my bill this month & Dayle, the property manager, was terrific in helping me settle the problem. I really appreciated the help & customer service.

This place was great before Public Storage bought them. After that, they started increasing the price every couple months. When I asked about it, they said that it was to stay competitive with the other Storage facilities in the area. They also have another location just down the road, so I am guessing they were just "competing" with themselves.

This is an update for a prior review. Had trouble connecting to the automated gate quite often. If you have to renew your rental agreement, they hit you with a big increase. And, even though they put out poison for mice, that didn't stop them from ruining several of our items.

Reasonable rate and clean facilities, all in all couldn't ask for more. I worked with Shellie, she was very professional and prompt with anything we needed. Bring your own lock and you can save even more!

Shellie was extremely knowledgeable, and a huge help in tending to a recent rental concern of mine. I’ve been a satisfied tenant at the Hugo location for many yrs, however rental increases of 40% every 6 months are simply not feasible long term. Sadly, I will be looking elsewhere.

The people and property are awesome. But the pricing is absolutely insane. I rented a unit in August of 2023 for $266. About six months later the price went to $329. Fine, kept the unit. But a few days ago they raised it to $400. A 50% price increase in a year??? I can’t recommend and will not rent from another Public Storage with this business practice.

Had rented too small of a unit then when moved into it realized needed a larger one. The manager needed to run to another location to cover for personnel shortage so I was sitting there with another truck load of items. I contacted another location who got in contact with her and arranged to have her come back and got me into a larger unit. GREAT customer service! I have rented numerous units from this location over the years

The worst experience I've ever had. The manager was very rude to me. She call the cops the first time I was late leaving. Her boyfriend is very threatening. I'm afraid of his threats for my safety. I've contacted upper management several times and no one called me back . Then got evicted. I'm taking legal action.

Needs to be open later then 9:00. Other wise it’s a good place
