Bays doors are still not fixed. Don't count on easy access if you rent here for this feature. Was lied to only to get the rent paid on the unit. Public Storage is useless at this point. Good employees but bad property maintenance. Been over 4 months without working doors but they renovated the other side and installed fences and gates. Make it make sense.
Update 2/8/26...Bay doors still are not fixed, was told by Savannah when asking for payment that they were being worked on...apparently they pay contractors to look at the problem without fixing it....being such a big company you would think they would be more efficient in fixing main components of their building.
Downgraded to 1 star as the bay doors are still not fixed...the gate works now but why couldnt they fix the bay doors while activating the gate. I was told I would get a call last week after escalation directly with Public Storage rep. online and did not. I recieved credit on my bill but was not contacted. If this is not fixed by the 31st of January 2026 we will look for something more convenient even it costs more.

Zero stars, and I have no idea how anyone has had a good experience here. No one has ever answered the phone when I've called during business hours, and the entire point of switching to Public Storage was because it advertised that it was staffed. Voicemails take forever to be returned. At this point in my voicemails I just beg for them to tell me when the desk will be staffed so I can call and actually reach someone, and I've never been given that answer. 4 months in and every month has had billing issues. I show on my end that I've paid, they pile on late fees despite having a confirmation and transaction number, and then they threaten to send my unit to auction. It's UNREAL. This month, without notice or logic, my unit rent went up $70. No one has responded to any voicemails (which I have to leave because humans don't answer phones at this location during business hours) and it's absurd. I assume this place is a scam, my phone reports their calls as scams in the wild occasion I'm actually called back, and I assume that at this point xfinity mobile knows something I don't. I desperately wish that I had never believed the reviews for this loation or this company, but it's the only option and it's going to be a nightmare to move everything. Trying to connect with Public Storage corporate to report this branch has been unbelievably frustrating, as I just get defaulted back to the voicemail for this nightmare. Avoid at all cost!!

Excellent customer service. When I was unsure how to get into the facility after all the construction, Savannah went above and beyond to assist me. Everyone we've spoken to here is so helpful and we've never had an issue with the cleanliness, security, or temperature.

WARNING!
Be very cautious with Public Storage’s pricing practices. I was lured in with a promotional rate around $40/month for a 10x10 unit. After just three months, my rent was increased to $81/month.
What’s especially frustrating is that while I’m being charged $81, the same size unit at this location is currently advertised for about $41/month as a promo and $52/month as the regular (non-promo) rate. That means I’m paying roughly 56% more than their own advertised regular price for the exact same unit.
I contacted customer support and was told this is company policy and that my rate could not be adjusted, despite being a customer in good standing. This appears to be a business model that raises rates on existing customers while offering much lower prices to new ones, relying on the inconvenience of moving to keep people from leaving.
In addition, the loading bay doors were broken or not functioning properly almost every time I visited my unit, which made access inconvenient and added to the overall frustration.
The facility itself is otherwise acceptable, but the pricing strategy and repeated maintenance issues are not transparent or customer-friendly. I would strongly recommend comparing other storage options before renting here.
We have had various storage units here for the last couple of years, and have always had great service! A couple weeks ago I called after office hours with a question and someone called me back within the hour. The units are good size and they have a lot of options. I like that it is climatized, and the prices are way better than at other climatized facilities. Definitely recommend!

Neither of the garage doors work for the loading bay.
The people I have dealt with in person (very kind gentleman whose name I unfortunately do not remember) and Savannah on the phone have been great. The pricing is also good because I received an excellent email offer. The only issues i have are with the storage space itself. There is a large beam in my unit that takes up a not insignicant amount of space in my unit, and I'm sure it is relieving me of some of the space that I am paying for. There is also a small metal bar impeding my ability to stack things evenly against the wall where it is located. Lastly, the door is quirky, and I had to do a YouTube search for a video to try and figure out out to even get it open due to an inability to move the slide lock under normal circumstances. I had to overcome a different issue to get it completely shut to lock it up.
I would rate the facility/rental unit as 3 stars and customer service as 5 stars, which is how I arrived at my 4 star overall rating.

Clean storage facility with friendly staff ready to help when needed
I rented at Public Self Storage for a few months while I was moving. They are a really nice storage facility and have great customer service!!!. The sign up was very easy and later when you go to move out they take care of everything before hand. They are very friendly and helpful with the whole process. The units are very clean and they have a safe and secure building. I will use them in the future and definitely recommend them.
Update: Rented a new unit and received excellent 5 Star service today. Karen and Jacob were very helpful with everything and even helped me with figuring out how to lock up the unit and provide directions around the area. Thanks to them both for their help! 👌😀🧡👌😀🧡

I had a mixed experience with Public Storage, but the main focus of this review is related to a "floater" employee who was really good, even though this wasn't his "home store", so to speak. His name was Alex(?), he did a great job of explaining the in's-&-outs of how PS's protocols work, gave me a tour so I could see what options were available (storage unit wise), then walked me through the sign-up process. Alex did a really, really good job that day, but he also happened to be scheduled the day I moved in and my experience was the same. My only "hmmmm" about my experience with PS relates to the fact when calling you're forced to deal with a call center where you spend too much time on the phone with information you receive not being entirely accurate or unclear. For example, they informed me the PS facility in Saline didn't have hand carts, etc., to help with the move in, so I'd "need to call the facility" to verify this info. Why waste time on the phone discussing this topic only to say "IDK", "my information shows they DO NOT have hand carts", but then at the end of the conversation communicate "you'll need to call the facility". As it turns out, the call center was wrong and Alex guided me to where the elevators were and hand carts were right next to the elevators... 8 of them if memory serves me. Having said that, Alex deserves the bulk of the credit for this review.

If I could give fewer stars I would. The door has been broken for 2 months which means there is no limited access/code needed to get into the facility and right to the door of any unit. The facility is completely unsecured. There is no sense of urgency or accountability from the office about this breach of contract. Do not recommend here or elsewhere with company. They also jack the price by enormous amounts after a few months, despite not providing basic secured facility.
Facility is not secure. Overhead door has been off for at least six weeks.
Helped a friend move some things to storage here. This person has been with this facility for years. Over the last three months, the security door for entering has been completely off, so anyone is able to get in, and the exit door is not working at all. The facility is disgustingly dirty. See pictures of the bathroom. Carts for moving things in and out are falling apart and barely moving, making it extremely hard to move things in and out. My biggest concern is the amount of money this person pays to have their items here, and they are clearly not safe as anyone can get in, and there is not always staff on site. I feel this could be a very unsafe place, especially for women going in and out by themselves at night. If someone wanted, they could hide in the building waiting for after hours and then go over the wall to any unit, taking what they want. I hear there are security cameras, but are they really working is anyone monitoring? With the shape of this building, I'm surprised there has not been a lawsuit made by any of the tenants.

I’ve the opportunity to drive by and check this location out since I was thinking of getting a unit. The staff was very professional and courteous. The manager, Mr. Willis was very knowledgeable and transparent. he took me on a tour answered my questions and concerns. displays were placed accordingly. The place is spacious and clean. Prices are treasonable and can fit into anyone’s budget. I would recommend this location on Michigan Ave.

HIGHWAY ROBBERY!! I rented a unit when it was Simply Storage and when Public Storage bought it they were charging me $328 for a 10X15 unit. I received a notice it was going up to $400/mth in April. This is insane. Be sure to have in your contract how much they will increase your rent and when! Strongly recommend you go elsewhere. 👎🏻 👎🏻

Storage units were well maintained, and Amy and the guy (not sure of his name) were both very helpful and friendly the numerous times I stopped in for one reason or another. Amy went above and beyond.
The guy working here was very helpful. This place is really clean and has an indoor loading dock to drop things off and load things up. There are also about 10 carts here to help you move your belongings around. Our unit was spacious and kept at room temperature. There is also a good amount of hallway room for moving things. I would recommend this as a good place for storage. The insurance provided was about $15 a month as well if you wanted to get it.
I've had a storage unit here for years, here in saline. Since public has taken over, the customer service is atrocious. Trying to talk to a representative that you can understand and not hung up on is ridiculous. Let alone when you stop by to talk in person no one is ever up front. Not even while you wait 45 min for someone to come back from where ever they might be. I do not recommend them to anyone.

She's a rule follower, forsure. But this is why this large of an operation stays in such good shape. And if I'm not mistaken, shecwas ther 7 years ago on our first visit. She knows what she's doing, and is ALWAYS willing and able to help answering all questions.
I was happy with this place but not anymore. The monthly rate increased without my knowledge. When I called to see why, I was told I should have gotten something in the mail. I did not receive anything, and I told Shannon this. She was snarky and combative. This lady is beyond rude. I will be collecting all my items by the end of the month. Shannon is going to make many customers leave if she doesn't learn how to conduct herself in a professional manner.

I decided to check it out, and ended up getting a quick tour. I found I liked it a lot. Everything was clear and easy, and I was sold on getting a unit, thanks to the manager on duty there, Mr. Leighton. He was great. Very tall.
