Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 1530 W Northfield Dr, Brownsburg, IN

They auctioned off several customers property instead of reaching out to the owners about their stuff and then refuse to give information to the owners about who bought their stuff. Crummy people who work here that think that is in anyway okay to sell other peoples property.

I reserved a unit and decided before even moving in not to go with Public Storage. Every number I have tried is disconnected, you can’t chat online and I cannot go in person. They have now charged my card for a unit I don’t even use. Customer service for the corporation needs to be reevaluated. It is not helpful at all. I’ve resorted to a google review to hopefully get someone’s attention.

On Sunday 11/6/2022 the Public Storage in Brownsburg IN lost power to its gate. It wasn't possible for customers to open the gate using either by using app or entering code into keypad by the gate. After calling customer service, Hershey from the Georgetown Public Storage came to the rescue! She worked with tech support and got everything up and running within half an hour. Thank you Hershey, great job!

I appreciated robin calling to check and make sure I was good and letting me know about the app I love the no person contact of the property

The associate who helped me was beyond pleasant and exceeded my expectations. I was hesitant to use the kiosk, but it turned out to be quick and simple!

Leasing the storage unit was easy. Everything went very smoothly!

Updated Review: I have edited my review from 1 to 3 stars. My lot rate was adjusted, not to what I started out paying, but at least it was acknowledged and considered. My only complaint now is the hours. 9pm is entirely too early to close. It is still daylight in the summertime at 9pm. I think it should close at least at 11pm or maybe even 10 or 1030 but 9pm is entirely too early. There are a lot of self employed truckers that use these facilities and need more time to make it back and also earlier times to pick their vehicles up. 5am should be open 11pm should be close. If it can't be 24 hours. I dont see why not because there are cameras and security gate, so why are they closing anyway. You have to have a passcode to get in. I dont understand but at least adjust the hours for the hard working small business owners. 1st review: Now that I have been with them for over a year this place is a joke. SO they had me at a $80 rate per month. Now that my truck is not running at the time they raise my rate to $160 a month for a outside parking space. They more than doubled the rate on me. Will be leaving soon as possible and never returning

Easy sign up process, facility is extremely clean. Darlene called to make sure our move in was good and she was amazing! She answered my questions and we even had a conversation about the area since I just moved here. Great experience with this company.

Robin has been amazing helping me get a unit while still in Tennessee. My daughter is the one to set it up for me the day I moved up there. It went so well and smoothly. You even took my information and payment from me thought my daughter. Getting into my unit there was very easy. Thank you for making my transition smoothly.

The facility is clean and well maintained and feels very safe. But there is literally no point in having a public restroom if it's ALWAYS locked with no way to get in it to use it. Why not put a keypad lock on it so that the patrons who rent units there can access it. Especially those of us with young kids who are potty-training or have small bladders.

Moved there because it was cheaper than the other storage place then the price raises up higher than the one I had before

There was a power outage and the entry gate wouldn't open. An employee named Hershey came and fixed the problem.

PLEASE READ: If I could give 0 stars I would. I had a terrible experience along with others by being TRAPPED inside the storage unit. The system was down so we could not leave the place and ended up being stuck for about 2hrs before any assistance got to us. I could not contact a single person, out of the 3 numbers it told me to call. The app wouldn't work and it took calling the fire department to get us out. We were even told by the police officer and fire department that this is a COMMON OCCURRENCE. It was extremely frustrating that there's no emergency maintenance crew for this place nor some alert to tell the staff their system is down so someone can come and help anyone who might be stuck. Extremely disappointed and will not be using them again.

Patty did a great job and made the process easy. The facility is clean and secure. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a storage unit. I'd like to add to this post... although the initial experience was great, the facility itself is awful. When they built the indoor storage units they did a poor job with the vapor barrier (if there even was one) Everything in our unit was covered with mold. Many things were ruined. Unfortunately, if you read the entire contract, there is no recourse. Although they did cover some "cleaning" it was a poor solution. BEWARE

This place is pretty good. Although I did have a situation where I was charged after my move out date, Pat, was able to take care of the issue and made sure I received my refund...

Used this storage unit in 2021 and lost all my stuff due to mold. They said they would get it under control a whole year later and they still have mold!!! Recommend no one uses them

I rented my storage spot for $21 month. After 3 rate increases they now want $99 month and that's for a 5×10. There's been some theft there due to the gate not functioning properly. Bottom line is the place sucks. Raising the price that many times in a year is a rip off. I consider it to be theft by deception which is a felony. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.

Jean and Darlene are always so helpful. I run a major coffee business out of one of their units and they are always there to assist when a problem arises. I am here 6 days a week and always know I can rely on them to be there if I need anything!

The manager Darlene was extremely nice and very easy to work with. I have another storage unit and it isn't nearly as well managed!

Jean gives us excellent service! We have rented from her twice now and every time, she takes the time and care to make sure we get exactly what we need!

I needed a place nearby that had reasonable rates for climate controlled storage for work and this was by far the most affordable place around. This is my first time renting a storage unit and it couldn't have been any easier. I got everything set up in less than 5 minutes online and when I dropped by the office on my way to the unit, Jean explained everything I could have asked about before I could ask. Jean walked me to my unit, showed me the layout of the place and the best routes to the unit from where I'd be unloading. The building was very cool and spotless. I was impressed. Jean let me know if there was literally anything I needed or could think of to call her and she'd take care of me. I'd recommend this place to anyone needing to rent a storage unit for a while- it's some of the best prices for units per month (at the time of this writing, the first month is only a buck) and and the process is easy and the staff phenomenal. You can't go wrong choosing this business.

Very clean and reasonably priced.

Raised rent on our RV parking spot by over 30% after only 5 months of being a client. Tried to discuss and negotiate based on other comparable rates in the area, however the conversation was not productive. We have moved to Hawkeye RV storage just down the road in Pittsboro. Same level of quality for much less hassle and a better price.

Had more of my items damaged when they cleaned and restacked my stuff broken item because they put all the heavy stuff on top
