This place is predatory. Not only do your rental prices increase every month (what started as $180 per month is now $318, and $45 is now $75) and the late fees unreasonably high (25-50% of unit cost each time), but any "refunds" they offer for late fees only go as credit. if you close your unit, they keep your money. don't come here, plenty of other places who don't prey on their customers.
Diane helped us get set up while on site. Very informative and showed us exactly how to locate our unit, assisted us with gate access code that needed to be activated. Excellent customer support. Good experience upon move in!
Diane is always so accommodating and helpful when it comes to paying my bill, lovely attitude as well. She is always so helpful when I come in.

We use this for the storage of company furniture/ equipment. Easy in and out of the unit. When we note any issues with the unit, it is fixed promptly. If you are storing long term, the only drawback is that they only have month to month leases. The corporate headquarters drives rate increases about once a year. Occasionally, you can call and try to get the rate increase reduced.
Diane was absolutely amazing with helping me end my storage unit. I went in to use the kiosk and she was there in person to help me. We ended up chatting for a little bit, such a wonderful woman! Thanks Diane!!!

Have rented here many years. Always impressed with cleanliness and how well maintained this facility is. Never any trash around. Diane has been super helpful & friendly in my interactions with her. She represents Pubic Storage well. Recently painted facility looks great. Called customer service, rated 3, very difficult to understand, often asked her to repeat. Disconnected before I could ask for confirmation number for my request. Call immediately went to rate call. Rated, wasn't acknowledged, asked again to rate 3 additional times before I became frustrated & hung up.
Once again, tired of this location lying to me just to get a bad review removed. I no longer care if they drop my price back to the agreed amount. I was told by Diane and Justin that if I removed my negative review, they would drop my price. When I first got the storage unit, I was told that my price would not increase in any way, shape or form. Clearly that was a lie since they keep increasing it back up to $230 and nothing has improved, my door on the unit is messed up and either doesn’t want to open, doesn’t want to stay open or doesn’t want to close without forcing it. Brought this up and nothing was done. They closed the bathroom around the same time they increased my price and had it closed for months. So they increased our rent but you would have to drive to Thorntons if you had to use the bathroom. They don’t bother contacting until you leave them a bad review. So once again, left them multiple voicemails just to have them ignore me but I bet they’re going to call me as soon as I post this.
Diane is super-fantastic! This was my first time ever using a storage unit and she made my experience OUTSTANDING! She's professional, thorough, kind and a natural at customer service. That ability can't be taught!

I normally use the 1110 Public Storage location, however I needed a secondary unit. Upon arrival, I had everything I needed in under 15 minutes. Diane is the Real Deal. She is one of your best employees! She is incredibly Wonderful and made my entire experience amazing! Do not, I repeat DO NOT ever let this remarkable woman go!
I recommend this site or Barbs location at 1110. Stay away from 880.
I completed a reservation at this location on 06/12/2024. Diane came and met us at the property within minutes to show us a unit. Truly exemplary service. Was polite, kind, and competent and helped me reserve a unit on-site. She is an asset to this facility and company.
Recently went through the fun experience of my toddler losing all my keys. Thank goodness for Diane the manager she made changing out the lock on my storage locker the easiest one I had to replace. She was such a delight to work with!!

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. Somehow someone mistaked my storage unit and BROKE open my unit and then they had to replace the lock and give me new keys. I was told I was able to pick up the new keys when I could. I go to go pick them up months later because I thought , they wouldn’t lose those keys but they did!!! Then I was told no one can open the unit Monday , I went in Friday. When I needed my things! I pay almost $100 a month to not be able to access MY THINGS when I want ! And when in the first I had no fault!? This is ridiculous. And I still had to call a locksmith myself!!

If I could give this location no stars I would. I know how storage auctions work but this place is roach/bug infested and gross! They don’t take care of this place. It’s a kiosk only and the managers are real “winners” when I say this because they are rude and won’t do anything about the issue, it took them over two weeks to call us back stating to us we won’t get a refund do to their lack of communication and telling us they were going to exterminate the unit which we know they didn’t! If you want to store your stuff here do yourself a favor and stay away from public storages in Lombard!

A few years ago I had made a post about this place and gave them five stars then about 4 years ago I went on vacation and when I came back my $5,000 plus bike was stolen I feel it was an inside job because the lock was picked because the lock was still on the unit but the lock was picked and it wasn't fully closed back up and anybody who has those Puck locks no you can't pull the key out until it's set in lock position I would not rent from this place. Do not run from them because I had insurance and it didn't cover it because I was late a few days I said wait a minute I just paid my rent oh yeah but you were a couple days late and when you noticed it you were late yes I can't notice it if I can't get into the place until I pay and I paid so you let me in and that's when I noticed so again I believe it's an inside job do not rent from that place

The only issue I have with this storage place is a lot of time there bathroom is locked, I really feel like when they open they should open their bathroom as well in case anyone who comes in to take care of their storage can go to the bathroom otherwise you're forced to go hide somewhere in the bushes or trees and pee like you're camping!
Great convenient location, fair pricing, excellent customer service! I rented my space for 5 months. Setup process is easy and mostly online. You just need physically receive the lock and the key to your unit. I didn’t know when I am moving out until couple days before end of month. I vacated unit before beginning of next month. I was happy I was not charged for the next month even with that late notice. I recommend this business and particularly this location to everyone.

Great experience. First time having a storage unit and the process was so simple. M was awesome first time I felt with her. Seen her the second time and felt very welcomed!
Edit: Shady practices. Paid my late fees and was caught up to date. September bill came next day and they added late fees. Sold off my stuff. Still have a $300 bill AFTER selling my stuff for two months in a 5 by 10 unit.... That two months was right after I was down to a $0 balance. $79 a month, two month equals $430 or something huh. Unreal! Much better places out there I'm sure. I wasn't perfect with my payments but after their crazy fees bring added on, I'd never recommend them.
