I wanted to close my account and clear out my storage unit last week as I told representative, which I was forced to pay for a full month's of rent for storage in order to access my belongings to then find out I will not be prorated to refund for the 24 days of not being in possession of storage unit. Basically taking our money when not renting for the days we no longer in possession is just terrible customer service and appreciate customers for using them. I WILL NOT GO BACK! I'M TEAM U-HAUL STORAGE AFTER PUBLIC STORAGE INCREASED RENT EVERY 6 MONTHS.

The customer service here is a 10/10. Especially from Nina. She is a superstar amongst employees. When I was having trouble understanding things, she talked me through it in a thorough yet simple manner. She didn’t make me feel as though I was incompetent for having trouble. I rented many storage units over the years. I will not use this place again.
This company or shall I say management and staff are rude and disrespectful. They put me in a storage that I did not register increased the price. Stole my son storage and sold it for auction.
They also went into my locked storage and stole my things. You can climb in the unit from the other unit it was not secure. I could never access the gate with my code unless having to go into the office and never could get out at all.
This area do really bad things to people out there.

NEVER AGAIN!!! Worse experience ever. My mother moved from Springfield and used public storage in East Hazelcrest. First of all, Mike gave us a storage that was already occupied by someone else. He was in a hurry to go home so we had to go catch him before he left to give us a storage that was not occupied. 🚩🚩 the payment was set on auto pay and was taken every month. They took the payment on October 9th and by the 25th of October they auctioned my mother’s furniture, clothing, appliances, patio furniture and smokers and grills…etc. without any notice. When we found out what happened and to show proof of payment the staff became very rude also stating there was no way to speak to management they would have to call us back. The staff was very rude and found the situation humorous when my mother and I left they were looking out at us visibly laughing. Mike and his co worker. I can’t remember her name may have been Nina. Don’t even think about calling because they never answer. They take longer than usual lunch breaks even though it says they’ll be back by a certain time. This place is trash. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here ever unless you plan on being scammed. Pay and still get your property auctioned. Units are raggedy and staff just doesn’t care. Public storage will NEVER get our business and I will tell anyone who says they are going there not to. Terrible experience.

Worst experience ever. The unit had holes in the roof my belongings have all be damaged by water and mold. The insurance is a joke and the reps are unresponsive. They increased the cost of the unit without notice. I called to complain they agreed to give me a credit for the difference for three months. I pay my normal bill only to find they never gave me the credit and have place a lien on my belongings over the $10 they already agreed to credit me. I feel they are running a scam to take your money and your belongings. After calling multiple times and asking to speak with a manager they credited my account. I go to the facility only for the horrible representatives to treat me like trash in person. I was yelled at by both representatives. The female was way worst. She started lecturing me about her responsibilities ect. Then she said she refuses to help me and told the guy you can help her because I’m not doing anything to help her. This woman should not work in customer service, her job is to provide good customer service even if a customer is unhappy. She just made everything worst. I wish I had never given a dollar of my money for this experience and service. Unless you want you property damaged and your stuff sold even though you pay your rent and you want workers to yell at you and tell you what they are not going to do to help you then do not I repeat DO
NOT rent a space here or with a his company.

Michael and Nina are the most disrespectful people I’ve ever can in contact with for a business transaction. If you gone have a stank attitude maybe you shouldn’t be working with people Michael initially rented out a storage unit he confessed that had torn installation and it was Noted in the file of this year and proceeded to rent me the unit anyways unpin me moving into the unit the installation fell all over my belongings furniture,clothing, appliances. I left the unit September 30th and upon leaving found numerous water damage from the cut out part of the installation that I had to request for public storage to come in and fix . I then closed out my unit via web/app. I received a notice maybe 12 days later informing that I was being charged another month of storage rent when I called in to resolve what I assumed was a mistake Nina yelled and had a nasty attitude and told me I left furniture in the unit which was a bold face lie. She hung up on my face and stopped answering the phone upon me denying I left any furniture upon me asking for proof that what was left belonged in my unit. She passed it on To Michael who was seemingly just as rude and unprofessional. I asked Michael due to the damage to my unit I was confused why I was being charged since I’ve directly came to him when each issue arose. Nothing was resolved and there’s a bill still pending I called and requested a owner give me a call with no return call ever received, all of my clothes where damaged from water getting in during a bad storm, my dressers where damaged, memorable things , irreplaceable items damaged and they still want $125

I called customer service to ask about my bill, the guy I spoke with.....PURE JACKA##!!! He was argumentative and said it was me. He talked over me ,wouldn't let me as a question, then said "pay the money or we selling your stuff bottom line" and hung up in my face. He need to be fired.WAY TO RUDE.
I called the toll free number and Joseph was totally rude. I must of bruised his ego and manhood. He was upset because I didn't answer his question right away. Uh, hello, thought I was the customer here. If I want to ask questions and not answer your question right away, I can!! I'M THE CUSTOMER!!
Phyneice Pleasant, very easy to get along with gave us all the information that we need and then some I wish you would give this guy young lady a raise. She is very very explicit when she explains things thank you. God bless you and we love her just met her, but she feels like family.

This was as easy as 1,2 & 3. I called the main number and spoke with a young lady name Crystal received many suggestions and options, reserved a storage, Nina from the main location called to set up an appointment, I showed up and it took less than 10min. Awesome professional service from start to finish. I apologize if I spelled their names incorrectly.
Nina is the sweetest and most professional person there. She really helped me out a ton! It doesn’t feel like you’re talking to someone that just shows up for the paychecks, she absolutely cares about customer service!
This was my first time at this location and it was tricky to find but I called customer service for directions (as GPS kept guiding me past the frontage road) and getting the most amazing help from Aja who remotely assisted from Virginia Beach, VA - was more than excellent customer service. She put the address in her own GPS and pulled up a map to assist getting me and my friend to the front entrance. She stayed on the phone to ensure we had the correct gate code to access the storage unit, told us where the lock was located, and answered all questions and concerns prior to ending the call. She was truly a pleasure and provided a light-heartedness to an initially stressful situation. It felt like talking with a friend you calm for help. I hope to have her as a customer service rep everytime!!!
