Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 3111 Fortune Way, Wellington, FL

I have been renting here for a while and I must say that Charisma is one of the best employees I have ever dealt with. She truly listens, understands and finds a solution to meet your storage need. Her customer service skills are so strong and she has made the experience wonderful. She even knows my girls name and ask about them always. I have transferred units based on her recommendation to combine. She truly has your best interest at heart.

Whatever you do, don’t rent from this storage !!Sometime last year, I was renting from a different public storage and had issues (per usual when it comes to public storage) so I decided to try a different storage company and I found simply storage. All was great with pricing, customer service, etc. up until May of this year when it was sold to public storage !!! I was so disappointed to find out it was sold, because i just knew it would go down hill from there and it did. The rent started at $35 and some change which is $10 more than I was paying when it was still simply storage. I was fine with this because I felt that $35 was still a reasonable price. I then got a bigger space and was told it would be $40 but instead it was $48.99 (still not too bad of a price, so I let it be). Just a few weeks ago I went to pick up a few things but I couldn’t get my lock open (I lost the key). The lady working there told me to come back the next day with a different method and so I did. I waited outside for almost 45 minutes until she showed up. (it’s advertised that there’s access to our units until 6 pm mon-fri) she said she had to run to the bank, which i understood at the time because i was once a manager so i understand having to go to the bank for the deposit, but I feel that someone should be there regardless and it shouldn’t be closed off until 6 pm !! I came back the next day to try to get my lock open as I wasn’t successful the first time, and again I waited around an hour and no one showed so I left. I came back again the following day and waited another hour and a half until someone showed up ! I finally got my lock open, grabbed my things and left. I realized when I got home that I left things outside of my unit by accident, so I called the next morning to ask if someone could stop by to pick it up (I didn’t want them showing up and no one was there) but I figured someone should be there if it’s early morning , right ? WRONG. it was almost 11 am and no one was there. Everytime I called simply storage, someone answered and if they didn’t, they always gave a call back. This public storage doesn’t answer for nothing when you call and they don’t get back to you about voicemails that are left regarding these concerns. I submitted a review because I was upset but then later deleted it because I felt I was too harsh and maybe there’s other things going on, who knows. But, a few days later I received an email stating the rent went up AGAIN ! this time it’s up to $60 and some change. I’ve decided this month will be my last. Im disappointed. This place needs better management.

My dad is a long time customer at one of your other locations and he recommended I come here to this store I met charisma who was already in the process of helping somebody else she didn’t just leave me waiting she asked if I wanted the other chair and she would be with me she was so nice and polite and smiled the whole time even though I wasn’t able to rent at the time she took down my number and told me she would call me when she have something for me and I’m grateful for people that cares about others

I don't do a lot of reviews but I wanted to send a shout out the Charisma and her excellent customer service. Not only was she friendly but she also took care of my concern in a pleasant professional manner.

Rudest customer service on the phone! Girl talks in circles to. I went there, cleaned out my unit and removed the lock. No one is in the office, so I left a voicemail. They call you back to tell you they already processed the payment. Ok, I’m fine with that. Rep tells me I still have it for another 30 days. I ask her to clarify if I need to come back in 30 days to cancel or is this notification sufficient and she starts telling me I can be put on a Public Storage list if I leave an unpaid balance and they can report me. What? You told me they already charge my CC, and now you are threatening me with reporting an unpaid balance! When I tried to clarify again with her, she hung up on me! I do not recommend this location

I called in today for a quote on big size storages because I’m moving out of my town house neisha provided me with all the information I need to complete my rental online she is the bomb

Neisha was extremely helpful in paying my 4 units. I was very sorry to be so late. Neisha was very understanding. She even looked for ways I can save money on each my units. I was nervous/ashamed to come in (because of the lateness)but she made me feel at ease and made this whole mess so easy and stressfree.

Corneisha is an amazing employee. She is very informative and knowledgeable she always answer the phone and call the customers back we really appreciate having her here to assist us keep up the great work corneisha

The facility does not answer the phone, can't get help if we tried all day. Consider moving your things from this facility to a different storage company, cause we sure are.

We have been customers for several years with multiple units. One of our units is used for business and is needed often. There have been dozens of instances where we have visited during regular business hours, and the door is locked, making us unable to retrieve our property which is unacceptable. They are randomly closed in the middle of the week on Wednesday. Business hours are not posted near the door or when they leave during regular business hours. It is impossible to get anyone on the phone. Have left many messages for the property manager without a return phone call.

I had to deal with corneisha because I was inquiring at a few different places. She was so personable and nice. Out of all, what seems like 100 places I called today, Corneisha at public storage in Wellington was by far the best interaction I had. I will be renting just for this.

Sarah gave me a call about my bill, if it wasn't for her taking the time to do so I would have had a late fee, I'm retired and live on Social Security. Thank goodness for her otherwise my Christmas would have been ruined. Thank you so much Sarah. It's people like her that make a place where you want to store your items.

DO NOT rent these storage units, the customer service reps totally lie about the storage units being behind a security gate & you’ll need a code, which there is no gate at all. When you go to the units they are completely filthy with dirt and cobwebs from the uncovered ceiling to almost the floor. No one would store a shoe in these units, as you would have insects everywhere in your items. This company also refused to issue my full refund for the admin fee paid after I immediately returned their key once I noticed the condition of the storage units.

Literally the worst location ever. I rented the unit not even 10 days ago and they are calling and telling me I’m late with a $7 balance then they say if I don’t pay by the 7th I’ll have a $20 late fee. They owe me $20 for a lock and telling me I can’t use that credit for what they are claiming is late. I go to finally move into the unit and it’s too small because they said in the description 4x4 on the first floor not 4x4x4 cage on top of 2 other cages. So I transfer to a bigger one which they charge me MORE money. What happened to the money I paid. It’s crazy how they can’t make adjustments in the system to help the customer out. I’ve been a customer of public storage for years. I always have a storage and there’s always a hassle. So irritating

After receiving my third price increase in a year from Public Storage, I began looking for a new place. I was most fortunate to find Simply Self Storage. Their price was much lower, they are closer to my home and all the lockers are on the first floor. Property Manager, Donna, was a real pleasure to work with. She made my move so very easy.

Very professional and quick to work with, my family has used their services previously and they're quite helpful at this point as well.

UPDATE: Got a call from rep at Public Storage after leaving this review saying that if we removed our review, then they would refund our money. Wow! I reminded her how unethical that was and told her they can keep the money. I wonder how many others they held hostage under these conditions. Wow, WOW!! P.S. Blessing in disguise...We found SmartStop Storage after this experience. Very nice! We cancelled within a few minutes of the rep calling to let us know she had made a mistake by not disclosing the location and type of unit she had rented us. It was a fenced-in/caged unit on the upper level with a ladder. 😳 (Apparently, the inside spaces are just divided by fencing.) We still got charged an administrative fee AND rental for a day, but we never even got to see it!! Why?!? It was HER mistake. Anyway, we got cheated and definitely do not recommend this place.
