After Public Storage acquired a locally owned storage facility my unit was increased from $60 per month to $200. No one is ever there. They do not seem to care about the customers. It is a national corporation who just do not care. Stay away.

The facilities are nice, quiet, and safe, but our customer service experience has been rough. We made our unit reservation online and called to confirm their open hours. We were told they close at 9 PM but we got there around 7:30, and there was no one there at all. We ended up figuring out our move in on our own, which wasn’t the end of the world. Our first rent payment is coming up, so yesterday we paid 6 months of rent to get ahead. I turned off our AutoPay, as we won’t be needing it because of this. Today, my husband and I dropped off some things and around 10 minutes later we got a call from the front office, asking us if we had intent to vacate because they had noticed we turned off our AutoPay. Very confused, I told them no, we had JUST used our unit and I turned it off because I just made a payment for the next several months. THEN she told me she saw the payment, thanked me, and hung up. We are about to leave the state and it doesn’t feel very reassuring that something like turning off AutoPay would indicate to them the intent to vacate, especially immediately after receiving a $500+ payment for the unit? Leaving a review as a paper trail of the incident, in case anything happens to our things and our unit, based on assumption. Like I said, the storage space is nice and safe, but based on our interactions, I’d probably have chosen elsewhere to store our things.

We drove to Perdido from Georgia for the week for a family vacation. My dad towed two motorcycles down for him and my husband to be able to ride while we were on vacation. The condos we were staying at originally said we could keep the motorcycles on property by buying another parking space but once we arrived, they conveniently had no recollection of the agreement. This left us with no other way to leave the motorcycles or trailer throughout the week with a peace of mind that they wouldn’t be stolen or messed with. My dad called around and finally was able to speak to a sweet woman here who agreed to let me dad store his motorcycles and trailer there for the week. This saved him from having to go back home to take the motorcycles and allowed my dad and husband to be able to enjoy a nice motorcycle ride that week. She really showed us that there are still some good people in the world with a heart for lending others a helping hand. You can tell this company truly cares for its customers and they would be a pleasure for anyone to work with. Thanks again!

This place is a life saver!!!! An the lady on staff is AMAZING, FRIENDLY, and knows her stuff!! Needed 2 Motorcycles stored in a pinch because the condos we stayed in (Palacio Condominiums) told us a month ago if we trailered our bike down we could park the bike just not the trailer at the condos, then they changed their minds when we were down here 6hrs away from home. That’s ok this place came thru and we were taken care of!!!

Rent went up when public storage took over. My stuff is moldy. Very disappointed, at $165 per month for climate controlled 10x10, I shouldn’t have to disinfect belongings being stored in there. I called the front office, lady was nice and told me I can “come up and purchase some damp rid type stuff in the front office. And that even tho it’s climate controlled, that doesn’t include humidity.” Huh??? No outlets available for a dehumidifier. Can’t afford to keep buying damp rid weekly. Edit: price had gone up to $207 per month by the time I was able to move to a new company. This new unit has adequate air control, it is the same size (10x10) and is only $135 per month. No mold.

Gates open easily as well. Process very smooth. Gate code was even delivered by email once booked, so everything was contact less. They have my 10/10 rating, anytime!

BUYER BEWARE. Website says that the first month rental is $1, so we rented a unit online 10/19/22. Today (11/3/22), Sabrina called dunning my husband for the "prorated amount due" of significantly more than that. Sabrina refused to try to understand my husband's explanation of why we didn't think an amount was due yet. So are you misleading the public about the true cost of the rental with false advertising???
