The worst storage place ever.when I first became a customer for Life Storage I paid $173, then $186, then $193 and now they want to charge me $233 for a 10x10 storage. All because they company kept getting bought out. I paid $200 and told them I will pay the rest soon, they said they wouldn’t charge me a fee and now I owe them $80 instead of the $30. Public Storage is a rip off and then you can’t even pick your own due date. Everything is due on the 1st like people don’t have to pay rent or other bills on that same exact day. I definitely can not stand this company and can’t wait to wash my hands with them. They are trash

Public Storage took over management of this facility some months back; previously the facility was managed by Extra Space Storage for a few months, and before that Life Storage. Public Storage - Deborah and staff - has been the best management company to work with. They are flexible, and most importantly easy to communicate with and responsive, always promptly returning voicemail messages and taking extra effort to accommodate the customer. The facility itself is clean and very well maintained. The AC very effectively controls climate, and there haven't been any issues with pests, leaks, malfunctioning elevators, etc. Highly recommended.

NEW OR PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS BE AWARE... Carts are no longer available at this location unless the office is open. I was told that carts are a "courtesy" and not a service that automatically comes with storage rental. The reason I was given for carts no longer being available is 3 carts being stolen. I need a cart to be available every time I go to my storage. I cannot carry items from my storage, on 3rd floor, down the elevator and out to my car by hand. I need a cart and expect that when I pay almost $200 a month for a unit, that a cart will be available at all times. Stolen carts are not my problem and lost carts should be considered the cost of doing business. Good customers should not be punished for the bad behavior of a few. For this reason I moved my stuff to a storage that has carts available at all times. I moved out using a rented dolly because the office does not open until 930am. Come on, Public Storage, with all the money you make, you can afford to buy a few carts once in awhile.. I am very disappointed in you.

I MUST thank Nicole for providing exceptional customer service on Aug. 31st. She demonstrated understanding and fairness in correcting actions taken by another Public Storage rep who was on duty at the 8303 Priest location in Tempe on the same day, near 2P. The Priest property rep, in short, reportedly yelled and cursed at the customer ahead of me. The police officers were there to address HIM, not the customer. I had been his next customer, and he proceeded to break off my key in its lock and with a smile on his face, tell me I need to pay for a locksmith. I also had the movers there who I was paying for to move my storage that day. As a result, I was unable to move my items that day to Nicole’s property. I called Nicole distraught about the risk of having to pay for two storage units, because I wouldn’t be able to move my items this day. I told her that the Priest public storage rep broke my key off in the lock and asked me to pay for a locksmith. It is not suspicious that the key got stuck on the day of my preplanned move; it had never gotten stuck EVERY BEFORE!. In fact, when I asked the Priest rep to take a look at the lock, he told me that he was at my storage unit earlier in the day. In any case, Nicole had the company take care of the $130 locksmith cost; this was fair and proper. She allowed for me to move in next day at no extra charges. Have you ever heard of that?! Fair, prompt, service. She clearly saw what was appropriate to do and did so without my having to ask, no hesitation. That is remarkable Nicole, and I APPRECIATE YOU! Thank you for turning around a bad experience into a good and memorable one.

Clean and convenient location. Improvements could be more dollys, and later access to the property. I was unaware that customers don't have access to the building after 9pm even with their own access code/app.. Maybe those are common hours with storage spaces, but definitely would be a good reminder to tell customers the access hours upon signing and getting keys. I might have tried to find a place that stays open later just for convenience with my own schedule. I’d also reserved a first floor unit online for ease of access, but they didn’t have any when I went to pick up keys which I wasn’t too happy about. But didn’t have too much time to look elsewhere so oh well 🤷‍♀️

Everything is below average except staff. They are below below average. Short old lady keeps looking at us as if we are doing something wrong. Constantly following us. The fat cows graze constantly.. A real busy body. No facilities for customers. Lots of empty units now seems to make sense. If we rent a space leave us alone! Other than that costs too much to put up with this.

I've been a tenant at this location long before Public Storage acquired it. That being said the customer service level was always strained. Today I stopped in needing assistance and was helped by Debbie. Although she was alone, and there were other customers waiting she was incredibly helpful, polite, and, professional. She solved my problem, and I was on my way, she is definitely an asset to this location.

Nicole was AMAZING!! She helped me pick the perfect unit for my needs. Really good competitive prices for such a clean monitored building. I would definitely recommend this place. Thanks again Nicole 🙏🏼.

Débora was súper helpful when needed a locksmith

The people at this facility are great. I booked my unit online, but Debora was able to help me out when it came time to access the unit onsite.

A lady named Alexus helped me. I was grateful she had the patience with me I had a ton of questions and concerns that she was able to put my mind at ease. I called other companies with the same questions and concerns and they seemed irritated and were rude I would highly recommend this facility. Alexus had amazing customer service, polite, and patient she definitely exceeded my expectations considering my previous experience with other companies.

If I could rate it more than 5 stars I would ! Had a terrible experience with a different storage company prior to walking into public storage. The girl who was working was so extremely helpful and sweet ! She helped us find the perfect storage unit for us at a great price the same day! The complex is very new and very clean, very secure entree, climate controlled with great AC, and the staff goes the extra mile to help make sure that you find the right sized unit ! They have loading zones by the doors, they provide dolly’s if needed, and the app allows easy access. And a plus for me is the process of renting the unit was easy and painless. I am very impressed !

⚠️ warning READ this POST! 100% true and accurate, Nicole rented me a great unit at a great price special and the manager is nice as pie and professional. It smells like bleach and cleanliness all inside and I appreciate that a lot. I wish I remembered the other 2 women’s names but the manager and the other woman just so incredibly well spoken and professional at this storage. Air conditioning works and it’s the safest storage I’ve rented I love that you can’t get into elevator without a code! Thanks ladies I love it here! Rhonda

I am in the process of moving and needed a larger unit than I currently have at another storage facility. I have been at this facility before as I have a friend that utilizes this facility. Some of the features that I like about this facility are the 2 big loading/unloading bays , 2 elevators and an entrance/exit from 16th St and also Flower St. The manager, Nicole, was great to work with as she took the time to advise me on the best size for my needs and went over the different options, etc. The facility each time I have visited is always clean and well-maintained.

So far, the people I have spoken to on the phone have been pleasant and helpful, but the people I have met in person at the store, OMG, polar opposites. In person, one man was extremely rude when we first rented. The man told us to never use the front entrance again. Then today, the lady said she is only covering, but she said I wasn't allowed to have my moving box. I'm paying $144 for a single parking space and the moving boxes are being picked up tomorrow. I think since I am paying it should be ok, but we shall see, she was rude as well. Also, we tried the office and found that the only way in is thru the front entrance, the one we were told not to use!

If I could rate 0 stars I would. Horrible service. Access to the storage isn’t always available during open hours and you can’t even get someone on the phone for their “24 hours customer service line”

Avoid this unit at all costs! I just signed up for this unit. They assured me that I would have access from 6 am to 9 pm every day. I should up at 6:30 am. It was locked! The access code did not work due to an IT issue. Others had the same problem, so it was not me. They eventually acknowledged they had IT problems. Then finally my access code worked. AND THEN I GOT LOCKED IN!! I was all alone very early on a Saturday morning and I could not get out of a storage locker! I eventually walked around the facility and found a door that would open. So they sold me 6 am - 9 pm access and did not give it to me. Then they locked me in to their facility. NOT PROFESSIONAL. NOT SAFE. Look elsewhere.

Joe helped me with my move-in and it was a very pleasant experience. I was waiting out front and someone who arrived after me tried to cut in front of me but Joe knew I was there first and ensured I was helped first which is greatly appreciated! Thank you all for another wonderful experience with Life Storage!

I have just rented a unit and they are so nice here. All terms are very fair. I’m looking forward to moving my storage items here.

If you have to store belongings this is the best option out there but do not go to this Life Storage after dark! The neighborhood has become crowded with homelessness and there seems to be a definite drug problem as well being near the canal. No on staff security either after dark. Location is very clean and well maintained. Prices about 25% higher than competitors due to the availability of spaces and the seemingly secure interior. Ice cold AC a plus in the summer months and good amount of parking.

It's a storage place. While it's temp controlled and easy to access beware, your rent goes up. It's not cheap to begin with.

IN ADDITION, THE STAFF ARE COMPETENT, KNOWLEDGEABLE, EFFICIENT AND FRIENDLY. I WILL DEFINTELY BE USING THE SERVICE AT THIS LOCATION IF I NEED ANOTHER STORAGE UNIT IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

Laurie was amazing and professional. Firstly, I recommend this facility over all other storage facilities. I also belive that the Manager deserves a raise. Some people take a professional attitude negatively just because someone is hard working and know how they need to speak to people to ensure that they are taken seriously and that rules are followed - doesnt make their demeanor negative. I commend the manager Laurie on her ability to climb the ladder in this toxic masculine managerial world; as well as her ability to enforce rules and policies and ensure cleanliness and safety of the facilities. I know being a woman in any industry is difficult especially one of color - to ensure that you are not mistreated or taken advantage of. You really have to stick to your guns and put your foot down and deal with a lot of people underestimating and taking advantage of you. Laurie is a BOSS and I know that she has had to deal with a lot of great people and a lot of not so great people who completely disregarded the rules and policies and disrespected her. She remains a great, professional, caring, and kind manager and I love renting here. Keep it up !!!

Clean, easy access, well run. Not on Life Storage but it's a struggle to watch people park in the middle of a two vehicle garage entry, would be nice if someone working patrolled that or if spaces were drawn out. Be better people, be better.
