After recent events, I would give this location zero stars if I could. The manager in-charge of this location is downright disgusting with how she goes about treating her customers like dirt.My initial review of this location spoke about how Samantha snidely and rudely spoke to both my and my girl friend (as well as ignoring her when she fell due to lack of proper snow removal), and after that I had moved on and continued to avoid contact with Samantha to prevent any sort of further Mal-treatment towards myself. However the other day their had been a crew of street maintenance personnel that had been hired to patch up some of the pot holes that the complex had. Which is completely understanding to prevent customers cars from getting damaged. So I went into the office and kindly requested if I could go through the side gate on the complex, I gave Samantha my name and my girl friends and the unit number when asked for it. Everything seemed okay and I had thought things had moved on, but after I left the office and got into my car. Samantha walked up to my window and got my attention. I rolled it down wondering if something was wrong, however what shesaid to me not only was harassment, but also completely a accusation that she had no proof to back."Nice scathing review, makes me look really great. Thanks!" she said before going to unlock the gate. Based on her previous attitude towards me, I was not okay with the continued negative treatment from her. Her snide remark and sassy tone of voice was unneeded.Google Reviews are (unless they have your actual name on them) anonymous, that means that they are not linked to your name. So for Samantha to speak down to my about a review that anyone could have written, is (from what I understand) illegal. On my way out of the complex I stopped back in the office to ask why Samantha thought that her rude and trashy remark was either appropriate or professional. She told me that because "I am not a customer", that she has no reason to treat me as such. I am a authorized user of the unit that I share with my girl friend, but that does not at any point deem me as a non-customer. If that was in-fact true, that why do I have a gate code? Why do I have a credit card charge from setting up the unit and account? I am pretty sure when you pay for a good or service, you are considered a customer.Eventually I was asked to leave because she was feeling "threatened", or she would call the police. However I had made no verbal threats against her, I had not made physical movements that would indicate threatening behavior. What I did do is ask why she was harassing me and that her behavior towards myself was belittling. This whole thing ended up with a phone call to the Distract Manager (Larry Johnson). Who was speaking rather fast throughout the whole conversation, so I asked him if he could repeat what he had just said, so which he replied "Are you recording me?!"What kind of question is that? We don't live in the Nickson era anymore.Larry then told me that "If I don't like his services, then go else where. This is America, deal with it."I never had any sort of problem with your services, I have a problem with being berated by one of your employees (who happens to be a manager).Larry then told me that I would be treated like a customer from now on (which I don't understand why I wasn't in the first place), and that he would "talk to Samantha".My overall thought on these events? Don't go to this location. You won't be welcomed there unless you both have a name on the account and you are paying the money.Just disgusting.

This location was recommended to me by a friend who recently moved to Colorado. Samantha, the property manager, was very helpful, knowledgeable and made my rental stress free. I highly recommend them.

I recently had to move out of my apartment last minute and was in search of a storage unit to place my things in until I found a new apartment. I went to one Public Storage location (on Union in Lakewood), and Adam gave me a tour and inquired as to my needs. He was very friendly and helpful. As his location didn't have any move-in specials that fit my needs, he referred me to Jacob at the 6th Ave location. Jacob was equally helpful, gave me the tour, and explained everything. It only took about 15 minutes to be fully set up with access to my new storage unit! Both locations are clean and well-lit and the staff at both are friendly and helpful, and when they have move-in specials, Public Storage can't be beat! Thanks, Adam and Jacob for your help; you made an otherwise stressful situation that much easier to bear!
