We Make Storage Easy
All units are month-to-month rentals so you can move out whenever you want. Store almost anything: furniture, household goods, office items, appliances, boats, cars, motorcycles or other vehicles. At Public Storage you store it, you lock it, and you keep the key.
Our self-storage units range in size from approximately 5'x 5' (25 sq. ft.) to 10'x 30' (300 sq. ft.). We also have special climate controlled units to help protect your most sensitive belongings. All of our clean and well-lit facilities are staffed by professional managers and open 7 days a week. We also have computerized gates that allow access only to authorized people. Some locations even have video monitoring. No one makes it easier or more affordable to get into storage.
 
General FAQs
Does Public Storage provide a lock for the storage space? Does anyone else have a key?
You can purchase a new, sealed lock at your local Public Storage facility. No one else has a key to that lock.
How do I pay my monthly bill?
At Public Storage we give you several options to make your monthly payment. With our AutoPay program, we can automatically charge your Mastercard®, Visa®, Discover®, or American Express® each month or debit your checking account automatically. Or you can pay online in the "Pay My Bill" section here at www.publicstorage.com. And as always, you can go to any Public Storage location nationwide to pay your bill, even if you're miles away from your regular location.
Am I renting the space month-to-month or am I on a lease?
Your contract is a month-to-month agreement with Public Storage. You can move out whenever you want.
Do I get a discount if I commit to a longer stay?
Talk to your Property Manager for our Long Term Discounts.
 
Truck Rental
Are there different rental rates for different days of the week?
Yes. Typically rates are less expensive during the middle of the week when demand is lowest. Rates tend to go up on weekends. If you're able, try scheduling your move for a weekday to save money.
Is there a penalty for keeping the truck longer than I reserved it?
Yes, additional rental charges apply.
Is there an after-hours procedure for returning the truck?
Check with your local rental facility. Not all facilities have an after-hours drop box for keys.
Is there a deposit required to rent a truck?
Yes, a deposit of $100.00 is required.
Do I have to return the truck when I'm done with it?
Yes. We don't have a pickup service for trucks.
Am I responsible for any speeding or traffic tickets?
The driver of the truck is responsible for the vehicle's safe operation and all speeding and traffic violations.
Who do I call if I have any mechanical problems with the truck?
We feel so confident that you won’t have any problems that each truck has free 24-hour roadside assistance.
Does the truck come with a hand truck or furniture pads?
Most Public Storage truck locations rent hand truck and furniture pads for an additional charge.
What kind of license do I need to rent a truck? How old do I have to be?
To rent a Public Storage truck, you need a valid driver's license and must be at least 18 years of age.
 
Packaging Materials
When will I receive my packing supplies?
When you order packing supplies from our Website, it usually takes 3 to 4 business days to receive your order. Merchandise is shipped via UPS, and a signature is required for release.
Can UPS just leave my order at the door?
Unfortunately, UPS will not leave your order at the door. Someone must be there to sign for the order.
Another option is that you can always go to your neighborhood Public Storage seven days a week and buy all the packing supplies you need.
What is your policy on refunds?
With a valid receipt, we will gladly pick up any unused or unopened items ordered from our website. Your purchase will then be credited back to your credit card; however shipping charges cannot be refunded. You can receive a refund for up to 30 days from the shipping date of your order.
How do I return these items for refund?
You can return merchandise items purchased via UPS. To arrange for UPS pick up of any unused or unopened items only, please contact Retail Operations at (888) 612-9889, Extension 738 or 424 to process the return. We will arrange for merchandise to be picked up and returned to our vendor. You also have the option of refusing the merchandise once it arrives via UPS. Once the item(s) are returned to our vendor, a credit will be processed; however shipping charges cannot be refunded.
Is it possible to cancel an existing order?
Yes, but you must notify us by calling (888) 612-9889, Extension 738 or 424 with your order number. We will do our best to retrieve the product before it arrives at your destination. Your purchase will then be credited back to your credit card. However, shipping costs cannot be refunded. If the product does arrive at your destination, you may also refuse the shipment once it arrives at the ship to address, or you can follow the procedure as stated above for a prompt refund.
